1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Old Soom Gem Resin

Apr 16, 2006

    1. So i've recently acquired an old-resin Soom Namu head (thank you Milka - its still in the mail). However, I realize that the resin might be a bit hard to match. In the sale thread, it was discussed that the head would fit the resin of a SoulDoll body pretty well? Does anyone else have any other suggestions that might be a bit easier to get a hold of?? Thanks!

    2. Old resin Soom matches: DIM, DoD, Rainydoll (I cannot be certain of mechanical fit, but most anything can be done or modded to be done.)
      And here's a link to a color comparison snapshot I took. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/glyndon/parts and bits/comparison1.jpg

I have to mention, though, having two old resin Soom dolls and a Souldoll, the resin is a VERY poor match.

    3. Yeah, old SOOM is rather pinkish, and Souldoll is very yellow.

    4. thanks so much guys! They really match the DOD resin? i thought dod was super light?

    5. Old Soom is super pale too. I can take comparison pictures of old Soom to DoD to CP beauty white, if you're intertested.

    6. oh yes please. that would be really helpful! i didn't know soom was really pale (i haven't actually recieved the head head >_< _ thanks!

Taken fresh this morning muted sunlight with light flash.

    8. oh wow they are very close. and so you think (having them in front of you) that the Soom head would look pretty good on a DOD body?

    9. As for the mechanics, I can't say for certain since I have a mini DoC.

Were I to guess about the Dream of Teens boy body... You might need to open up Namu's neck-hole some (Soom boys have more slender necks than most SD size boys). Aside from that, it should look fine as the actual heads are similar in size (both wear an 8-9 wig). With Namu's strong features, he may actually look better on the taller DoT body than he would his own.

    10. awesome. thank you so much! you've been so helpful ^__^

    11. Hello! Does anyone happen to know or have pictures of Soom NS from 2009 compared to 2011?

    12. Is there a diffence between the old and new resin?

    13. Their sizes of different parts and the bodies shape are a bit different each time they change..

    14. I see, that would make sense.
