Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I got into BJDs because I fell in love with ReinSoul Mei. From there, I got a Doll in Mind Larina, but even when I opened her I realized there was absolutely no connection.

      She got resold after a couple months.

      From there, I bought a ResinSoul Fei, Yu, and Yao hybrid (Mei's head).


      I've done a LOT of window shopping, from really expensive to very inexpensive, and...well...

      Basically, I just plain don't LIKE other doll companies as much as I like ResinSoul.


      Are there any of you who simply prefer -one- company to the exclusion of all others?

      Which one? Why?


      For me, I like RS because the sculpts, especially in white skin, are so faery and ethereal. They look human-but-inhuman, which is the aesthetic I cultivate in my dolls. The ones I like all have pointed ears, and horns in their scale are easy to come by.

    2. Me too, tho I end up liking two right now. I like dollshe for it's amazingly realistic sculpts and DC for it's stylized style and proportions.

    5. I entered the fabulous realm of bjds via Mei as well! I have two dolls from different companies (and have ordered another from another co.), but I can see why you love RS.

    6. I'm super partial to Luts/CP/Fairyland. There are some other companies that make a doll or two that I like, but I just prefer the look of these guys over the rest. I don't think it's odd at all :)

    7. I absolutely love Doll Chateau's body sculpts. I'm picky when it comes to the face sculpts, however.
      I'm currently waiting on a DC Stacy, and I plan on getting a DC Queena, with the K-Body-11 instead of the K-Body-05.

      After that, I'll try to get a DC Chester to pair with my DC Stacy.. and then another 70cm DC doll..

      Annnd then I'll see what happens when it comes to other companies. I love Fairyland's sculpts, and some from Peak's Woods. :) But DC is currently where I'm at. <3

    8. I'm completely in love with Soul Doll. I love their faces, bodies, everything. I nearly fall for every sculpt they bring out and I know I can't have too many of them because I don't have the money. I currently own one full doll from them and one head.

    10. I lovee Fairyland and DC... Mainly DC because of how unconventional their dolls look... My grail doll is actually from DC. And i almost have enough money saved up for her! [emoji7][emoji7]

    11. Well I'm the complete opposite.... :sweat All my dolls come from different companies. I have a Luts, Iplehouse, and Dollzone doll. I also have two more dolls on the way, one being a Fairyland doll and the other a Soom imda... Hahahaha......

    12. I am not really a person that likes sticking to one company. I like having dolls with all kinds of bodies, with different faces (since I feel like some companies have a certain style of sculpting their heads that makes them stick out) and differtent boxes :'D I really enjoy the diversity in this hobby and usually when I look at dolls from certain companies I only fall for one of their sculpts.

    13. I'm still waiting on my first Fairyland doll and I'v already ordered another from them, I think its because their body sculpts and their face sculpts both appeal to me the most at this stage. However I so really like Lillycat's sculpts and Luts, so perhaps in the future?! ;)

    16. I wouldn't say I only like one specific doll company but lately - ever since I first "tasted blood" and bought my DWC01 head (now re-homed) - I seem to be favouring Volks a lot. Out of the six dolls I bought this year (not that I had intended to buy so many), five were Volks dolls ...

    17. I am very partial to Soom Super Gem sculpts, and most of my collection is made up of them. I fell in love with their dolls when I first saw their website. I just love their fantasy theme, and don't want to miss out on a doll I really want so I routinely check the website for new releases.

    19. I'm fairly new to this hobby, but already I find myself very interested in only certain companies. I tend to only like the realistic faces and bodies. I have one souldoll and fell absolutely in love with her. :) I also very much like Supia dolls. As for other companies that are more stylized such as DC, it's harder for me to get into but am going to try and see what I feel when actually ordering one of the dolls :)

    20. My very first doll was a Ringdoll Sol. My second was a Loongsoul MengLi and their difference in resin, size etc bugged me a bit so after getting another LS (boy this time) i was head over heels for this brand. Their resin, posing and sculpts were just amazing and i really liked them. Since then i have 9 dolls and all LS :P I like the thought of my dolls all being cohesive.
