1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Poseability of a Soom Super gem female

Dec 18, 2008

    1. Hi everyone~

      I wanted to know- how is the poseability of the soom supergem female? Likes about the body? Dislikes? I searched but found zilch... if there are any other places with good info, please let me know!

      Thanks!

    2. does ANYONE know? :)

    3. The posability is very good xD my onyx can sit and stand perfectly, the only problem might be with her elbows, they don't really like to stay bent ^^;

    4. I haven't sueded my girls yet, but I know there's more potential for poseability once I do. Their arms don't stay bent, but they can hold their arms out from their bodies and their wrists pose very nicely. They stand extremely well, and their high heel feet are well shaped for most heeled girl shoes.
      The only thing that bothers me about their posing is the inability to slouch forward. This is my complaint about my Dollstown girl too; the comparable boy body can tilt his upper torso forward and back, but the girls can only tilt back as though girls aren't ever supposed to slouch. :|

    5. I've just hot-glue sueded mine and now her infamous elbows pose wonderfully. But you don't really have to suede them to make them pose well - all that's needed is a decent amount of string tightening.

      One thing that annoys me though is because she's so curvy, especially around the bum, she does a tendency to suddenly keel over fowards, so I have to be extra careful while balancing her legs.

    6. I don't own a female Super Gem, but they do arrive in the mail with about four to six inches of slack in the stringing, and that leads to a terminal case of floppiness and slouching.

      I also hot-glue sueded my male Super Gem, which makes his arms pose very well now his strings have been tightened. (He's due for a re-sueding any time soon once I stop playing with my new sewing machine.)

    7. St James You were talking about the high heel feet being good.. I've heard they are bigger than the flat feet? I is confused.

    8. The high heel feet are good for all of the high-heeled shoes I've tried them in so far except for Volks SD16 shoes, which don't have enough width at the front. :) Hopefully I'll have some play time over the holiday and I can contribute more to the thread about what fits them. :)

    9. I love my gal, but chizzie_shark is right.. they do have to be "balanced" to compensate for being well-endowed. I don't mind the not slouching, because she has a great stomach/hip line if you want to wear something that shows the waist area. I've been pleased that she's done most poses that I've wanted.
