1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Puki Pong Pong's tooth? (the open-mouthed one)

Apr 19, 2009

    1. i'm thinking of purchasing a puki pongpong, you know the one with the opened mouth who seems to be in a perpetual state of amusement?

      http://efdoll.dreamweb.co.kr/shop/step1.php?number=203

i see that in the photos, he/she has one tooth, i know it's kinda adorable and all, but i was wondering if i decide that i prefer them toothless, is it possible to file it away myself? like, would it be really difficult or not advisable to? i've seen some pics where the tooth isn't really visible, so maybe it's not all that noticeable?

i've looked through the site and didn't see any toothless faceplate options or maybe i'm just blind > <

i've never ever owned a pre-fabbed doll (barbies don't count :P ) so i'm nervous about getting one once i fill up my paypal acct with my side hobby :P i hope that's soon, cos i think USD138 is the most affordable i can do right now...

thanks in advance for any advice :)

    2. Oh, yeah it'd be very easy to do. It's just a teeny little bit of resin that wouldn't be any trouble at all to get rid of. You might have to be careful doing it, but it wouldn't be difficult.

    3. After looking at my Pong, it looks like it would be doable. I have never done a mod before though. It's so tiny it looks like it would be delicate work, good luck!

    4. oh WOW! i'm sooo glad i posted here before buying then....thank you so much for the tip! i am so so new to this....*embarrassed*

thanks all for the assuring responses! i hope to own one soon! i've been dreaming of her (yes, all my dolls are female haha) for so long!

      imma never grow up! :celebrate

    5. oh i'm so sorry, another question (i'm looking through as many pukipuki threads i can but...gosh! there's just too many!), is the default eye colour that green seen in the site? is there any way to ask for a different colour? or the only option is to buy a new set of eyes?

thanks in advice, it's 6.49 am here and i woke up at 5+ cos i dreamt of a pukipuki :O

sorry in advance if this question has been asked a gabillion times before....and i -know- i'll have more! > <

    6. oh wow. now i'm majorly confused. :-/

i guess i'll keep the baby tooth in then LOL it'll drop when she grows up! haha!

    7. You would get a random colour. You can ask in your order notes (it's a little box where you can ask questions or ask for a different style makeup when you place your order) for a specific colour but its really up to them if they listen.

      So am I O_O
This is the first I've heard of scam site! I look for a thread on it and I can't find any info about it...

    8. ah ok i'll note in the box then hee hee i'm still far from my goal, but i know i'll get there soon enough ;)

:( maybe i should set up a poll or something, and ask where pukipuki owners bought theirs from, i always thought it was the efdoll link cos that's the first link that's thrown up when i google...now i see that both sites are almost identical?

      :(

    9. Judging by the comodo seal I wouldn't be too worried about that site. The .co.kr makes me assume the url difference is simply between the english and non-english sites.

    10. if you don't want to order directly from Fairyland, you can order from Denver Doll Emporium, they are located in Colorado and often have some dolls in stock for immediate delivery.

    11. Well I find this is the best place to find doll websites- http://dollfie.startkabel.nl/
It's a really useful way of finding the company your looking for. It's a lot easier that googleing it :D

I wouldn't mind seeing the results of that poll ;)
I must admit I'm intrigued about this...

    12. Both Url are official and belong to Fairyland.

The http://efdoll.dreamweb.co.kr is the old domain name

they changed last year. see the original notice about the domain name change
      http://efdoll.dreamweb.co.kr/board/view.php?board_name=DREAMBOARD4&choose2=&choose1=&pagenow=4&CB=&ID=54

they prefer you use the new domain name.

The tiny tooth on Pong Pong is very small. And you cannot tell unless it is actually painted white and if you are looking at him from the bottom up position. I have one and I did not even see it until you just mentioned it and I have to turn him upside down to see that tiny tooth.

    13. ah...ok thank you for the tip!

i'm in Singapore....i guess i'll look and ask Singaporean pukipuki owner where she got hers then(i don't know her very well, happened to stumble upon her blog! forgot that i know someone who owns one -_-")

imma go check out Denver Doll Emporium now...see if it'll be worthwhile getting from them...thanks again!

    14. ah! i see! that's very reassuring to know then :) :) :) oh wow i'm beginning to like this place, quick and helpful, friendly responses ^ ^ i might stay a while... :P

hee hee yeah, i saw the tooth immediately while surfing that site....i've been staring at that doll for over half a year, and am finally making a wee bit of money off my miniature hobby to finally get one! yay!

soooo excited! i can't believe it though, i have to wait at least a month for it to be delivered :( and that doesn't include the time i need to wait for me to earn that money haha (yes, i'm dirt poor :O )

oh wow. so many things to learn. the lighting is so different in the so many pics, i can't tell if the beautiful white is too white, or if the natural white is too dark? the pics on denver doll emporium is so dark, yet i don't want the beautiful white to be blindingly white either...eesh.

    15. I have a white skin puki and it's not blinding white but it is like paper? I think. As for the ones on denver doll, most of them are natural skin.

    16. oh! ok thank you...do the white ones make it more difficult to do face ups?

    17. Well I'm not sure but I would say no because the color is white and the face-up would most likely show better. I got my puki with the factory face-up though.

    18. oh ok! thanks much :) i really appreciate all this feedback!
