1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Puki Question

Nov 6, 2008

    1. I've just put in a layaway order for Puki Clown ChiChi (:D) and I have one little question that I just can't find the answer to...

Are ALL faceplates interchangeable between the different puki's?

I did search for it here, but forgive me if I overlooked it. All I could find was how easy it is to change the faceplates.

      Thanks!!

    2. Yes, they are! It's great!

    3. I'm a Puki newbie too and thats really interesting to know, I hope you don't my me asking another question; Is there any danger of having your Puki near the computer, as they are v.magnetic? Thanks

    4. Nope...Lua's perch is her magnetized to the tower of my computer :)

Just don't let them near your debit card...they may either demagnetize it or send Puki vibes that make you buy more!

    5. Just keep pukis off your usb drives or near the harddrive having it on the case of your PC shouldn't be a problem

    6. Well...Whadda know?

    7. aww puki's are sooo cute and i didn't know you could switch face plates, that is wicked cool! Are they easy to switch?
I'm a total bjd newbie and i'm horribly afraid of breaking them!!

    8. They are VERY easy to switch, however too much switching can lead to them fitting too loose to stay on by themselves, so a bit of tape to hold it on may be necessary. My little Pipi's faceplate is loose now, but the tape I'm using is covered by his wig, so no one can see!

    9. as far as the magnets go, it can be near your monitor but shouldnt directly touch it

    10. Also for when they start to come loose, there are spaces in the front and back of the head-cap to put in magnets should you need them, as far as I know all Puki's come with spare magnets and all of my ope-eye faces now have magnets in them as they loosened up faster than the sleeping and winking - they hold in perfectly now :)

    11. I can't wait until I have enough to buy my Puki~ D:
How are their eyes held in? (I am completely new to any form of BJD) >__> sorry if that question is really obvious, lol.

    12. Not a stupid question! :) You can hold the eyes in with all sorts of stuff. I use eye putty. I believe most people like poster tac, or even silicone ear plugs! As long as it's sticky and doesn't move when you place it. Just be careful about kneaded erasers. I've heard they can damage some glass eyes.

    13. So, if I order a Pukipuki, she comes with already putty'd in eyes?

      Groovy. XD
      Thanks for replying to me!

    14. I'm not sure about Pukis (I'm ordering my first one too). I think they show up with their eyes already set. :sweat

    15. kristah: Yes they come with eyes already set on with putty. Random colour. :)

    17. Can we try to ask one specific color when ordering...?

    18. You can try, but I haven't had much luck with that. Same goes for random wigs.

    19. Where's the best place to buy wigs that would fit Puki...? :o

    20. My Pukisha's getting all his extras (eyes, wig, Pukisha ears/paws) from Denver Doll. On their fur wigs page they sell wigs specifically for Pukis.

His outfit, however, is already waiting for him. It was made by Spampy.
