1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Questions for Elfdoll Tiny Doll Owners

Aug 2, 2007

    1. I just have a few questions for owners of Elfdoll Tiny Dolls (like the monnaemi sisters, etc). I have recently started making clothes for my own tiny dolls, and am thinking of selling them, but wanted to gather some info first.

      1. Are you interested in buying clothes for your tiny dolls?

      2. What style of clothing would you like for your tiny dolls?

      3. How much would you expect to pay for these items?

I really appreciate all responses. Thanks!

      Danbi :)

    2. 1. Yes
      2. mostly casual, but "grownup" looking dresses/etc. are difficult to find.
      3. Depends on the workmanship/detail/what it is. I *rarely* will spend more than $30 for a tiny outfit, especially for my teeny tinys.

    3. 1.) Not really, as I make most of my stuff, and I have waaay too many clothes for them to begin with XD I'm answering your questions anyways to give you feedback though!

2.) I prefer fantasy stuff personally! :D I can get regular/modern clothes off of bratz and kelly, but fantasy stuff that's well made is harder to come by.

3.) Well to give you an idea, I'm spending 90 dollars on some banji clothes. It's totally worth it, because they're so well made. If the quality is good, money isn't a huuuuge matter to me, but if the quality was bad I wouldn't even spend a buck on it! :D

I hope this helps! I'd love to see pics of yours stuff sometime. <3

And yaay monaemi sisters. I wants them ;_; but I am cut off for the moment.

    4. I would be interested in something more fantasy-related too. For tinies, I'd rather not spend over $20/outfit. But, it really depends on what it is.

    5. 1. Yes.
      2. Casual or fairy-like clothing.
      3. No more than 20 US$.

    6. Yes. Would be interested in any outfits for them and my upper limit would be around $20 too

    7. Thank you all for your replies, that helps alot. I will be posting pics in the marketplace soon. :D

    8. I will be watching

    9. 1. Yes.
      2. fantasy clothing ... I have a Catsy :D
      3. 20$ can be fine

    10. Cool :D There will be a bit of a delay since 1. I ran out of snaps and can't get to the sewing store just yet because I'm sick, and 2. I'm waiting for some stuff I ordered to use as props to show up. But I will post a note here when I do get them posted ^-^ Right now I'm making some hanbok so that I can do a little Korean scene...

    11. 1. Are you interested in buying clothes for your tiny dolls? YES!!!
      2. What style of clothing would you like for your tiny dolls? Normal seperates/detailed sweet lolita/fitted baby doll tees/fitted jeans/ NON child/baby looking things.

      3. How much would you expect to pay for these items? I'd range tiny seperates (like undies, socks, bras, basic tees) from $1-5+. Fitted tees and jeans $5-10+. More elaborate outfits, would be your call. ;)

    12. 1. Are you interested in buying clothes for your tiny dolls?
Yes, though I usually make my own.

      2. What style of clothing would you like for your tiny dolls?
Fantasy clothes are always welcome. I really like traditional outfits from different coutries like the ao-dai and sari etc.

      3. How much would you expect to pay for these items?
Say socks or underware $5, outfits no more than $15-20 depending on what they are, though intricate outfits with accessories I would pay more for.

Where in MI are you? I'm in Western MI. Took a look at your albums, nice work. Can't wait to see what you come up with for the elf tinys.

    13. I am very interested in buying clothes. I would love tops, and bottoms, underwear, simple dresses. Price from 5-25 dollars. let me know!!

    14. 1. Are you interested in buying clothes for your tiny dolls? absolutely

      2. I have eclectic style but I'd love some mod clothes that are mix and match styles

      3. It depends on workmanship

    15. Aww, thanks :D I am in the metro-Detroit area. It's always nice to meet another collector in MI! Actually I have been wanting to make traditional costumes for my tinies too, so I will definitely let you know when I have some done.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you guys, things have been busy lately, so I had to put my tiny doll projects on hold :( I have a commission for a larger size BJD that I will be starting soon, but after that I will be getting back to my tinies, so I will update this thread when I have some pics ready ^-^

    16. 1. Are you interested in buying clothes for your tiny dolls?
      Yeah, you betcha!

      2. What style of clothing would you like for your tiny dolls?
Would love some casual and dressy things.

      3. How much would you expect to pay for these items?
Depends on the outfit but would be willing to go upwards of $20 or a little more.

Can't wait to see what you come up with. Can't wait to be able to go to the marketplace to see what's for sale. Only 20 more posts to go and about 20 days....oh well, soon, soon.

    17. I have pics of a couple of outfits I made - they were mainly just experimental to see if I could even make something so tiny, but I think they turned out pretty well. ^-^

The first one is kind of like a Native American outfit - I made this at my mom's request. It is made of brown bamboo fabric with beaded accents:

The other one is just a little navy blue organic cotton dress:

I will be making different styles in the future, as I said, these were just trial outfits. Let me know what you guys think :D
