1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Reveiws for Dollzone dolls. (First time SD buyer!)

Jan 18, 2010

    1. Not only have I been wanting a DollZone doll for awhile now, but I have also been craving a bigger sized doll! So recently I spotted the new Brant model at DDE. I decided there that I wanted him.

But me being a waitress any purchase must be a good purchase! I'm an MSD sized person, and I would really like any type of tips on owning an SD. Mainly I would love reveiws for Brant or any other SD DollZone type doll because that is what I'll be buying, but any information at all would be greatly appreciated!

    2. Dollzone doll are beautiful I have a 60cm Cherry and if Dollzone had the sculpt I was looking for I would most probably get another one.

The dolls come sanded at no extra cost and their default faceups are lovely. They stand really very well my "Abby" has no sueding and she hold her poses quite well for a doll that is not double jointed...I'm pretty sure that dollzone have a double jointed body now though.

Abby is a white skinned doll and the resin is fantastic quality with a lovely velvety texture. he white color is really very natural, not paper white more of a cream.

My only issue with Abby is that her hands although beautiful are, due to the spread of her fingers, hard to get though clothing...and I'm not really game to take her hands off but other than that I really do recommend their SD size dolls.

let me know if you want any more pictures or if you need more information.

    3. Oh thank you soooo much! Your soll is absolutely lovely! Is there any kind of problem with yellowing, or greening resin?

I know there always is, but does it ever get noticable? (Sorry to reply soooo late!)

    4. My second and fourth dolls were dollzone dolls, and despite many dolls coming and going from my home the dz's are still here. I really really love them. I have a dollzone yellow normal and a dollzone white skin doll. I have not noticed any yellowing in them personally. Which I guess means if it is happening it is happening slowly and evenly. Dollzone normal yellow is pretty dark, Noble is the darkest of my dolls and even the white skin is not super white like some of my other white skin dolls have been. It is more of a mellow cream actually quite similar in color to my luts normal skin dolls. Dollzone resin is tough and it is uv protected.

Overall my large dollzone is the heaviest of my dolls, and he is incredibly sturdy. He is my favorite cuddler, something about his size and weight makes him more fun to curl up on a couch with. He is also the doll most likely to get drug around conventions with me. I tend to consider him less delicate than the other dolls, I'm not sure why, dollzone resin just seems tougher. They do come seam sanded and the resin is very smooth and nice to touch. Even being almost 2yrs old Noble still stands and holds a pose amazingly well. I recently tightened his elastic but he has never been restrung or sueded. He hasn't needed it. He is not on the newer double jointed body but still poses well.

I have not seen the new 65cm dollzone dolls in person yet so I don't know much about them. But I am very happy with the quality of dollzone dolls overall. The only catch I would think with the 65cm boys would be dressing them. There aren't alot of other dolls in that size range, and if they are anything like dollzones other dolls they will be rather heavily built, so they don't fit in the clothes more slender dolls do. My 70cm boy wears dollmore model clothes and they fit well, but other 70cm clothes typically don't because they are meant for more slender built boys.

ETA: if you want to see a dollzone doll up close you should check out the local meet ups. It is a great way to see dolls you are considering before you buy them.
