1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Selling a doll then buying it back

Jul 13, 2011

    1. Basically as the title says, have you ever sold a doll then bought it back?

In a strange twist I fate I ended up buying my first doll back, i didn't set out to buy her back, I was infact looking for the same type of doll after realising (18 months later) I shouldn't have sold her in the first place. But to my shock and delight I found her up for sale, her seller even kindly sent me back all the hand made clothes I had sent with the doll :D

    2. Yes! I've done this! :D

I was in need of money and sold my Peakswoods Viyol because I didn't think I'd bonded very well with her...... I was wrong! I regretted selling her ever since, but I sold her to a friend so at least I could see her often :) Then about 2 years later or something he decided to sell her so I've snapped her back up ^____^ It was a great stroke of luck for me! :D

    3. Yep, like half a year ago I sold my very first doll and a few weeks later the buyer had put her back up for sale, so I snatched her back xD
Sometimes these dolls have a funny way of making clear to you that they are perfect for you.

Also had sold a Littlefee Ante a year ago or so. And now I have two new Ante's... ;)

    4. I havent ever bought back the exact same doll, but I have bought the same doll sculpt again when I regretted it but it has never worked out second time around, a bit like when they say 'an ex is an ex for a reason' :)
I have had people sell me their dolls, then when I have sold them they bought them back though, I quite liked that, it was sweet.

    5. I wish I could do that to my first doll, I miss my Bobobie apollo, however, I would never re-buy another apollo unless it was actually him.

    6. I've never done this before (in fact I rarely see my dolls on the board again after I re-home them) and there's only one doll I'd do it with if I ever had the chance anyway.
