    1. Hi :) ,(I couldn't really find this topic, so sorry if it's already been done) I was wondering if you have any dolls that are siblings (including twins) and if so why (did they demand to be, story, did they just have this connection and etc), and how did you find them (did you search for a doll that looked somewhat similar, or just got a doll for a character and they ended up siblings for the story, and etc)?

    2. I have quite a few sibling dolls - I wanted to create a group of characters from one small town & so they are organized into families (naturally). I did start out putting dolls from the same company as siblings (I have an IH family, a Doll Zone one, two sets of brothers - one Dika Dolls & the other Angell Studio, a family that's mainly Soom).

    3. I have two sibling-pairs. One brother and sister pair and the other two are brothers... both pairs are twins.

      The Sister/Brother pair was long planned as characters, they have a important role in their novel, but it took ages before I got the brother after I got the sister in 2010, the brother is in customs now... as said it took forever for me to find him and as I had found the perfect sculpt I had to find one which was fitting for him. I ended up with a doll from the same company (Soom Ai & Beyla).

      For the brother/brother siblings I got two rolling heads (one of them was my grail head) and had to find an idea, somehow they ended up as brothers. They are from the same company as well (MNF El & Juri '11).

    4. My dolls are all related :). The main character of my story is so defined by his family that he just asked for his wives, his children and his favourite aunt to keep him company. -Well, of course that is complete and utter nonsense, he didn't ask anyone anything because he is a doll, but I guess his story provides me with the perfect excuse for having a whole family of dolls...

      I like a particular style of dolls, somewhere between stylised and realistic, so although they are from different companies, I think they mix well enough. For the four children I chose sculpts from the same maker, so they share similar traits: Dollmore Theo, Alex and Narsha Zihu. The Zihus are twins and were not planned to be that - I just couldn't resist getting a second Zihu because the first turned out different from what I intended and ... and ... they are just so adorable :P.

    5. I have a bunch of siblings! ^_^ I have 4 different groups of siblings, groups of 3, 3, 2, and 2. Most of the groups just kind of ended up happening - my very first two dolls were from the same company and they just fell into sibling-ness. And then I just got my hands on a different company's sculpt and he was small and tiny so again, he just kind of fell into that family. But then I got a few more dolls/sculpts and they all just kind of fell in to place. :3

      The majority of my siblings are Angel of Dream and Custom House (Aidolls). They ended up being 2 AOD and 1 CH, 1 AOD and 2 CH, 1 AOD and 1 CH. So they are combos from the same companies, and I think they all fit pretty well. (But then I also have all of their parents - and even though they are pretty much all from different companies; Migidoll, Luts, Soom, AOD, they are all similar enough in style they work) Then I have one half of twins from Dollmore (my friend has the other half).

      But then I do have a Dollshe boy and an Elfdoll boy who are brothers - they are sizewise and stylistically pretty different, but they have faceups from the same artist, so they still fit together pretty well. With those guys, I was planning a character (with Elfdoll K), then re-shelled it into Dollshe IM Hound before I even got the K. But then the IM Hound ended up being his own character anyway and I still got the K. XD

      So long story short, with all my groups of siblings, they all had just an 'I got the doll, let's make it work!' kind of situation. :) Since I like the same companies and style of doll, all of my dolls tend to fit together ok as family. :)

    6. I want to have siblings, but so far I've managed to cut myself off. My characters are all related through entangling love interests and friendships. I think having biological/legal (in the case of adopted siblings/parents) would be a nice relationship to have, though.

    7. When my first doll (Volks SD13 Link) became a character, I decided he would have a brother in the past who died. But the brother decided otherwise! When I saw SD13 Tony, I knew immediately that he was meant to be that lost brother.

      I didn't even let Hiro see his brother until it was time to do their reunion photostory. It was so touching to have them meet, I felt like crying. They're perfect brothers to me. (I need to get a new picture, this is Hiro's old faceup but it's one of my favorite pics of them together.)

      Tadashi is the best thing I ever bought for Hiro. LOL!

    8. I don't yet, but I have intentions on giving my current doll a family. Although their specific relations would depend on the doll. I was thinking perhaps a Korat (to be my Lio's sibling) if I ever find an opportunity to get one.

    9. I have lots of sibling pairs, just because it's adorable. I was joking the other day that I take more pictures of my Chloe with her brother (they have lots of matching outfits) than with her girlfriend. XD

    11. Unofficially (as in I haven't done any actual photostories or whatever with them) Avalon and Avery are brother and sister. Adopted siblings as Avalon's an elf and Avery is a little steampunk human girl.

    13. My dolls come in units of 2 generally, and they're sometimes adopted sisters. Like I have a pair of sisters, but one's an alien, so it's basically their dynamic together.

    14. I actually have a sibling doll with my sister. We bought Dollzone Wendy and Dale back when they were released and kept them as siblings even though we no longer live together. It's actually really cool.

      Dhani & Dana (Souldoll Iliya and Paris hybrids- Dana was a gift, she was already in Dhani's story)
      Kier & Cian (Iplehouse Mars hybrid & Volks KoTenshi Tsubaki-- I wanted an MSD model for sewing)
      Derby & Emma (IslandDoll Emily & Offtopic Aidolls Sanbitalia - Already had Derby and a friend was selling the Sanbitalia at a bargain price, and her sculpt is similarto Derby's, so I gave her a sister)

    16. I have sibling dolls although only 2 are actually full siblings.

      Vuchel & Vashin: twin boys (RS Bao's, one in WS & one DG)
      Moswen & Tyhlian: half-siblings (different mothers). Moswen is an AoD Chi in tan and Tyhlian is an OD Tae Vampire in normal
      Fei-Lau, Wu-Tyr, Saraf & Rhas-Khan: half-siblings. Fei-Lau is a DZ Edward in WS, Wu-Tyr is a Dollshe Orijean in Oriental, Saraf is a 5Star Dark in normal and Rhas-Khan is an Impldoll Ziv in custom grey (technically, I don't own Saraf or Rhas-Khan yet as I'm saving for them and hope to have both of them purchased by the end of the year crosses fingers*)

      I'm not terribly concerned over similarity in looks for siblings unless they're supposed to look the same as is the case with the mostly identical twins I already have. I have some other characters that I've picked out resin shells for although it's a bit unlikely I'll ever bring them home. But for them, I have 2 sets of identical twins (one set who are part of a sextuplet with Moswen) and they would both be the exact same sculpt with the same eyes and wigs. Another character is the non-identical twin to Wu-Tyr and the sculpts for those twins are fairly different looking.

    17. Three of my Girls are siblings. The youngest is my DOC Petsha, Yuki. The elder sisters are the twins DOT Tender E-an ,Layla, and DOT E-an, Kayla.

      At first I wasn't really going for a sibling story. More like teacher and student, switching between the E-an heads, but somehow it evolved overtime and I ended up getting a body for my Tender E-an and turning them to siblings instead.

    18. I have... Lots of siblings around here. Some of them don't look that much alike, mostly due to being form-altering demons, or inheriting odd genes so I had to pick dolls based on characters first.

      Melchior (my Soom Dia) has the largest family to date. His children are Shaitan (Withdoll Nei), Mephistopheles (Doll Chateau Hugh), Lucifer & Bellial (Luts Wintery 09 twins), Mary (Cerisedolls turquoise Ninon) and Magdalene (Soom Lilid human). The girls are from his second marriage so they're half siblings with the boys.

      Evander/Rayleigh (IoS Chaos) comes second with quadruplets, Olivia (Doll Chateau Isabela), Sylque (Luts Cherry SP), Cecil (MNF NF), Gaelvin (Doll Chateau Bella boy) and an adopted child, Cohall (MNF Sarang).

      Other than those, Spinel (FP Lishe) has twin Soom Lami Almaz and Lulu and Cadence (Luts SSDF Avalanche) has twin Soom Smokey Hugh and Smokey R. Prince Jerome as their children.

      Eien (Luts Summer 13) is the brother of Nowe (Doll Leaves Wish), Lavinia (Doll Leaves Pepper) is the sister of Elliott (Luts Quino), Nineliya (FP Rin elf) is the sister of Ealdred (Volks F-20) and Nicolai (5th Motif Goohwa) is the half brother of Rin (Crobidoll Tei).

      It should be noted my friend and I own an extended/conjoined collection so nearly half of the aformentioned dolls are hers.

    19. I have dolls of a family so after finding the parents it was easier to find kids. The girl had to be older and the kids' sculpts had to resemble their parents', that's the big thing with me, making sure they have the same skin tone and look like each other.

      Big sister ended up being a 1/6 scale to her mini parents, and from the same company, brother is a tiny from another company but he has dad's eyes and mom's smile. It helped to get another teeny tiny to be a doll for big sister so she could have something to hold. If I ever do older versions I'll get minis so they won't be taller than their parents.

    20. I have so many siblings and a pair of twins that don't look nothing alike XD

      The twins came together (Soom Beyla and Soom R.Beyla) and also my pair of pukis simply became twins (Puki Sugar and Puki Piki). I really love the twins because they differ a lot in personalities and that's what attracts me the most about them.

      In sum:

      All my Soom dolls are siblings: The twins Santii & Valin, Soran and Sasha. Group shot (the twins on the left side)

      Lumiel is a long-distance cousin to the Soom family.

      Dantes and Kyoshi are siblings (not related to the Soom family)

      The puki twins are full blood siblings with Dantes & Kyoshi.

      Rosiel is Kyoshi's half brother (Father's side), not related to Dantes and the twins.

      All my other dolls are not related at all (Switch Soseo, Rosettadoll Zio, Soom Metato, MK Miri).


      I never plan anything, I don't write characters or stories. They are created after I get the dolls, they have like a life on their own.^^
