1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

We are also accepting existing stop motions--stuff you've already made--so long as it abides by the rules below! (Which means, if you've made something for the festival, and kept it under wraps, feel free to share it with the world!)

Already read the rules? Here's the ((SUBMISSION LINK))

Fellow Den Mates! I am super happy to announce that I will be heading up a stop motion film festival at Anime North/Doll North this year!

      Aaaaand:
You do not have to attend Doll North to enter your work in the festival! Of course, we'd LOVE to have you, so if you're coming, snatch up some tickets quickly, because there aren't many left!
Yes! There will be a dolly prize for audience favorite! (TBD once we know what sponsors are sending).

Please have some fun with your dollies and submit some great films for a chance to bring home a new addition to your doll family!

      Basic Rules:
      1. Length: 1-5 Minutes, *including* your credits. These are strict parameters!

      2. Accepted File Formats: .avi and .mov
These are the *only* accepted file formats for the competition.

      3. Submission window: April 1 through April 30 *NOW MAY 17* (Midnight, EST).
We will provide a submission link on April 1, and no films will be accepted after Midnight EST April 30*NOW MAY 15*.

      4. Accepted Dolls: At least ONE doll from Doll North's sanctioned doll list must appear in your film. (See list below)
And, to honor the many sponsors and donors to the convention & festival, we will automatically disqualify any films containing recast/fake/bootleg dolls.

      • Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls (Resin and Vinyl)
      • Non-Asian Ball-Jointed Dolls
      • Pullip Dolls
      • Blythe Dolls
      • Monster High Dolls/Ever After High
      • Momoko Dolls
      • Dollfie Dream Dolls
      • Obitsu Dolls
      • Azone Dolls
      5. Accepted Music: You must, I repeat *MUST* have a license to play whatever music is on your film.
An "I found it on the Internet so it must be okay" is NOT okay. Using copyrighted music will result in an automatic disqualification. You will be asked for your license/copyright information during the submission process.

      6. Accepted Content: Keep it classy. There will be young people at the event. We reserve the right to refuse any film which may be offensive to parents of said young people ;)

      7. No blabbing :) No progress pictures, reports, blogs, vlogs, or chats. And especially no campaign posters asking people to vote for your film. The festival won't be anonymous, as people will recognize your dolls, but discussing and or sharing your work in any way before the festival will result in automatic disqualification. (THIS RULE NO LONGER APPLIES. However, soliciting votes for your piece will result in disqualification.)

      8. If there are too many submissions to play during the allotted time, we will appoint a panel of independent filmmakers to choose which films will be shown at the festival.

      9. We will not be providing technical assistance.

      10. The rules may need to be amended as questions arise.
