1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

That One Person Your Doll Doesn't Like?

Apr 21, 2014

    1. So, my sister and mom decided that my boy, Xavier, needed a haircut/new hairstyle and my sister put his wig on upside down to give him a more "boy cut" look. After my sister was done, Xavier got a little kicky and nailed her in the sternum. Now, him being a new doll, he's a little tight, but he's never been kicky in the three days I've had him. But after I fixed his hair, she wanted to hold him again and he kept giving her a hard time when she tried to pose him.

Has anyone else had an experience where your doll won't behave for a certain person? Or even "lashed out" at said person? It's something I'm just curious about.

    2. Hahaha, I love that XD yes, I've had several dolls get "touchy" about people or things. My dolls as a collective hate my siblings (my sister ignores them, my brother is terrified of them). My first girl, her head swivels on its own occasionally, I think it's cause I haven't sueded her yet, but it happens most often when my brother is in the room. He now avoids my room altogether;3 my sister they get this odd glare

    3. My poor patient husband helps me move dolls and he always gets pinched. When my daughter helps me everything is fine. They should be nicer to him since he paid for most of them.

    4. It always seems to be that whenever my dad walked by, Avalon would suddenly lose his pants, joints get all kicky and he seemed to curl in on himself....He won't be coming with me when I see my dad later this year...Kazumi, and the others haven't been around him.

    5. Ah yes.
I have a friend, he is very very tall, that came with me for a doll shoot or two. The boy I had out, Jean, wasn't to thrilled being held by him.
And when he started playing around, sitting him on his shoulder at 1,75cm high (or so) and then posing him in a really unconfortable position on a tree brach even hight (way above his head), Jean got a little mad. We were standing beneth said tree and out of the blue Jeans sword came flying down, just passing my friends heads and stiking into the ground point first, excalibur like. That was .... incredible.
Well Jean has warmed up to him, after making his point very clear, and now he is this friends favorite doll out of mine.
(Said friend was very careful handling him all the time)

    6. I'm the one person SemioticKitten's Soom Tuff hates, and I don't know why. I was trying to pull some old sueding out of him (per her instructions) and I can't restring very well so I wanted to keep him whole. I was pulling some old dirty glue from his leg and he kicked me in the eye. He throws his hair when I hold him and is generally a real pain in the butt. I love the little turd but I don't know what his problem with me is!

    7. My doll seems to give a good strong kick to anyone that's not me when they hold him... >___>

    8. My dolls are inanimate objects. They don't get to have preferences.

If they did? They'd all probably want to avoid my youngest nephew... Little Dude has an absolute talent for finding sticky things to get all over his hands.
