1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

the gigant BJD in Tokyo by Absolut

Sep 12, 2005

    1. I found Absolut webpage with great photos and films-gigant BJD,streetfashion, gothic lolita nad Tokyi it self. you just MUST see this webpage http://absolutmetropolis.com/ with gothic ball jointed dolls by marie Honda in human size ^^
(hope, it's not too much OT, but I think it's really interesting..)

    2. I can't figure out how to access the site. @_@; I hit enter and it just gives me a pop up of their terms. I skimmed over it but am still so very lost. XD

    3. Worked for me -- you enter your age, then it gives a little movie (in a popup), then you get what looks like a subway map, and you click on one of those (Marie Honda is at the upper left center), and you can See Stuff.

      Thanks for the link!!

      -- Andi :D

    4. Oooh my - it's part of an Absolut Vodka campaign! :o I feel obscurely proud...

Marie Honda and her lookalike doll are really quite striking..! But when the poor doll is cartered off in a cardbord box.... :(

    5. ... can someone screencap the picture? I'm not of legal drinking age, so I have a feeling it won't let me in. (and I don't want to cheat and enter a different birthday, in case it comes back to haunt me, like the snail-mail spam I get for my old internet name...)

    6. Uh, yea ditto.

    7. You don't actually have to enter any dates or anything, you just have to click on 'yes' and the popup will er, pop up.

      They're kind of... freaky. They look like store manequins to me. But definatly a cool project. ^^;

    8. Thanks for links guys. In a way, the BJD is too real to me to be kind of scary when she's holding just the head. It's just me I guess. I always cover my face when I'm watching a very scary movie (honest).

But what an awesom job creating one, especially the look-alike features.

    9. Amazing! Thank you marti and pas for the awesome links.

    10. For a second I was wondering if Granny was a doll too... but the uncomfortable look on her face and the chain that was roping off the dolls gave me the clue she wasn't. Very neat dolls though, especially the faces, they are so real-looking.

    11. Woooah... That's wild...

Looking at the torso and the legs coming together... It looks so familiar, except huge.

    12. :D Love love love the fashion!

The dolls are too realistic for my taste though.

      Thanks for sharing!

    13. Wow, they do look very realistic :o

    14. Oh durh, I just realized I turn 21 next month.

    15. gotta love the pic of the womyn holding the doll's head.

that doll is so real-looking! so cool!

    16. What a kick ass campaign! I love that she had a bottle of Absolut right next to her while she was sculpting the doll!!

One really cool thing - they let you download the videos, music and wallpapers.
