I have Jerome twins, Hisah and Sashi. ^_^




Do you have your May already? She's a very cute little doll, and I don't think I have seen many here on DoA.

 

I can't wait to get my Jerome from Hita-chan. She's doing a custome face up and everything.

I've totally fallen head-over-heels for BF's Tommy, but I'm not altogether fond of their bodies. Can anyone tell me if they're really as shiny as the pictures on the site make them look? I really like the matte finish of most resin, but the BFs just look... shiny! And sort of... under-detailed. Can anyone tell me/give me pictures to prove myself wrong or right?

Also--if I do end up buying the Tommy head, what would be his most compatible matches from other companies? I like Luts, but I'd be willing to buy from anywhere, really. Point me in a direction! I know it sounds silly, but I kind of liked that he was forty-three cm tall, not just forty, like my boy of my dreams, Chichi(Luts Mini Fee Chiwoo). (It also put some rivalry between Chichi and Tommy-boy. x3)

I think all resins are shiny, at least it was from Volks, Custom House, LUTS and Dollshe so I don't think Blue Fairy differs that much. It's just a matter of light & filters used..and spraying MSC will help a bit.

And if the resin is a bit dirty because of handeling, it'll loose that shine...well it'll come back after you clean it ops:

But Daisuke/Die will be 100% male...in a JRocker sort of way >_>...which isn't THAT manly at all...9_9...but he'll be seme...so that's manly enough

There are 3 Tiny Fairy boys in my house, and none of them are shiny. They're very matte in person. And their bodies are amazingly detailed - they're very slender and muscled and have the most gorgeous hipbones on any sculpt I've ever seen. I don't have any good pics at the moment... I can strip Kurenai tonight after work and post pics of him naked if you'd like to see.

As for other bodies, I don't think you're going to find a resin match. BF resin from what I have seen compared is darker and more a real fleshy pink than any other company's resin.

I agree. BF used to match Volks very well, so if you manage to find an older Tommy head, then you can get an MSD body for him.

Too bad I didn't take that many good photos of my Jerome naked before selling him. I would say that they seem more stylized, but I like that. Their bodies have clean, elegant lines. I could never get over how great his legs looked. XD

As for shininess, they aren't that shiny. But the first time I saw Luts resin up close, I was struck by how much more matte Luts appeared in comparison. After a while, I stopped noticing the difference.

Hmm, it's weird, in person I don't see it at all, yet on camera certain parts have a satiny sheen to them.

I do really love this body. There isn't as much chest musculature as some other sculpts, but I actually like the fact that there are no visible ribs. My boy looks fit and slender as opposed to more skinny and bony and possibly hungry.

As he is a brat and insists on attention, here is Kurenai being himself.

I have two bluefairy dolls and I don't think they're particularly shiny. I also really like the color of their resin, but I might be the only one. ^^;;

 

I love the colour, it's a lot more...real to me than most normal skin resin. It's very pretty and rich.

 

Oh gosh! I'm glad I'm not the only one then!
