1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

~Volks Angels Nest Opening in Oct in Los Angeles!~

Jul 24, 2005

    1. So on the Volks English Website down at the bottom are the two most recent announcements for July, that the store will be opening in Oct, and it will have non-Sato FCS and if an article I read was right, also a Beauty Salon (nice for us owners who want our Dollfies checked up!). No word as to actual date.

UPDATED NEW INFO as of Aug 9th: The location will be Torrance (which is part of Los Angeles) in California, USA.
The latest issue of "Volks News" and it says that their LA/Torrance store is not only shop (of course it contains Tenshi no Sumika) but also office and laboratory (I don't know what it means though).
They'll ship their items from LA to their web shoppers.
It also says that in Palos Verdes they'll have special Guest House(salon) only for SD owners. Palos Verdes is pretty close to Torrance. Torrance has a lot of Japanese stores there, too.

Also noted is there will be a pre-opening sale on the website, was scheduled for July, but is now delayed. And there will be registering for SD owners of their dolls, for a VS program that appears to put registered owners on a mailing list for info and invites. Info on the registration will also be put on the website at a later date.

There will be a limited SD for the store opening, no word yet as to what it will be, but seems a few members are hoping it will be an angel (I kinda want one too!).

Aimee had a thread started over in meet-ups for a possible DoA get together around the time of the store opening, pending more info from Volks about the store and what they might have planned.
      Please see this thread: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=287977

    2. ^_^ I edited your post with the url for the other thread, as well as what was posted on Volks website, I hope you don't mind, it makes it easy for everyone to find everything in the first post! Thanks for restarting the thread! :chibi

    3. No problem at all! Thank Aimee!

    4. This is such great news - a Volks store in the US!

      I wonder if they're hiring? :D :D :D

    5. I'm sure they'll need at least a few American workers who are knowledgible about Super Dollfies, just in case there are any misunderstandings.

Too bad the crash erased so many posts! *_* but HouseofIsis seems to have covered it all. I'm so excited!!! :D

Hmmm... because it will be a Sumika shop, does anyone know if they will have Dollfie Dreams as well?

    6. I'm so excited about this! :D :D

Pepperdine University here I come!!

    7. You guys are sooooo LUCKY!!!!!!!!!!!
       Why do I have to be in the UK...*grump*

Its gonna be soo cool for you!!!!

      Charlie*^_^*

    8. well, you know if this store is well recieved, and does well... Volks might open stores in other places too. :chibi

    9. te,he..I was sort of deep down hopeing for that...a Europe store would be WONDERFULL! :chibi
But with a store in LA it might make it easer to get stuff, through the DoA marketplace!!!

      Charlie*^_^*

    10. lol I keep getting this image in my head about what the opening day will be like.....

The Japanese (and perhaps some American) Staff have just unlocked the doors when they are suddenly trampled by hords of squealing American men and women who have been waiting for hours, days, weeks, months, years!! Those poor, poor trampled people...

Someone, just promise me that you will take lots of pictures of the new shop, just incase I can't make it. :daisy

    11. Well hopefully everyone will be patient, polite and NOT CRAZY for the store opening. We don't want to scare Volks away *L*.

I plan, at least for my part, to take tons of photos ^_^...

    12. Oh, I'm sure everyone will behave themselves (or at least I hope they will!!) . I'd hate for the people there to be scarred for life just from opening day! :o

And yes, lots of photos! Photos of everything and everyone I say!! :D

    13. I'm thinking more about the little things than anything. Like how much easier it will be to get supplies for cleaning and the overall care of our dolls. And it might be easier to get replacement parts now, too, since Volks has to recieve the broken part before exchanging it for a new one. I love that we'll be able to get dolls, clothes, wigs, eyes, etc. from the LA store, but it's always those little details that seem to cause the most frustration, so it's great to have a new way to fix them.

    14. yay! for once i feel lucky to live in L.A.
um i have a kinda stupid question *blush* um would this store be open to the public?

    15. I can't wait to be able to choose wigs, eyes and other things myself instead of having to rely on third parties! :D Seeing wigs and eyes for yourself is the best way to decide if it's what you really want. :chibi

    16. Sure it would! :daisy Volks wants to encourage new buyers too

    17. thank you ^.^ i was getting worried cuz i didnt see anything on their website. oo it makes the wait even more worth it. i want to get another wig for my megu

    18. I'm sure you'll be able to find a perfect wig for your doll. To my knowledge, there is only one Volks store in which you need an appointment to visit: Tenshi no Sato. This new store will be a Tenshi no Sumika, so anyone could walk in/look around/buy something. :daisy

Volks wants to attract new American buyers who have never heard of Super Dollfie before. If their store wasn't open to everyone, I don't think they would make much progress.

    19. Aren't Sumika stores only SD and DD stuff? So no MSD stuff? :(

    20. I'm not exactly sure, but I think Sumika shops include MSD stuff. I heard that Sumika shops in Japan carry SD (which might include MSD) and DD stuff, but no 1/6 dolls or other figures that Volks makes.
