1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Volks metal plates in heads - info required

Nov 7, 2010

    1. I am just doing some long awaited maintenance on my dolls. Over the years a few of the metal plates in the back of the Volks dolls have come off. Originally I noted which one belonged to what doll.. a few I even glued back on - but as its been so long I have forgotten what plate belongs to who - and I would like to glue them back on the right doll!

So I have about 5 plates to sort out.. the first one is:
      020825/DPC3
Can anyone tell me what is the most likely sculpt this came from????

    2. It would help if you gave of a list of what dolls you have that have lost their plates.
Then we can help match up based on when the doll was released.

    3. The numbers 020825 are the date of the release, and DPC3 is the event. Looking through Where Angels Lie, there was a "Dolpa in C3" on August 25th 2002, so I would think it's one of the dolls released at that event which include Cecile, Nono Sweet Dream, and the MSDs Elza, Asami, and Sundy (all of which are limited versions of the standard & FCS MSD F-01 head). Hopefully that will help and you can match your headplate up with one of these dolls in your collection!

    4. Ahhhhh thank you so much !!!!!
      - I tried to find the Dolpa 3 lists but couldnt.. its my Cecile!! :)
I just had an awful feeling I have some plates for dolls I have sold (and sent them with the wrong ones) but so far so good :) :) :)

    5. Haha no problem! It can be frustrating finding info on older releases sometimes, but Where Angels Lie is a pretty handy resource! :)
