Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     3. I'm a Japanese native speaker, so I think I can do better than Babelfish. ;)

      All of the text, from top to bottom, reads:

      October 23rd, Tenshi no Sumika and Volks ShowRooms and the website will have an SD Standard Model Fair.

      Tenshi no Sumika/SR standard dolls are:
      SD Pure Skin Nana, Megu, Sara, Nono, Ryo
      SD13 Pure Skin Mimi, Sho
      MSD PureSkin Mika, Ken.

      NEW STANDARD DOLLS ARE:
      SD PureSkin "Kun"
      SD13 Pure Skin "Yori" and "Link"
      MSD PureSkin "Kohaku" and "Hisui" (Kohaku = Amber, Hisui = Jade)

      The new dolls appearing on Oct 23rd will come with special artist make-up and special wigs, as a first-appearance thingie.

      There are a whole bunch of dolls listed as no longer available as standard dolls as of Oct 23rd.

      The Standard Fair will also have two limited edition MSDs:
      Nagisa (means... cape or beach, IIRC)
      Midori (means "green" among other things)

      Nagisa will be chubby and cute and done by Valico. Midori will be a little grown-up despite being so small, with make-up by MIKEY. A shy doll with black hair tossing in the wind, with a bashful smile.

      And then it ends with the info about the old FCS ending.

    10. we'll have to buy the limited ones the same way we always do... *_- through volks online, domuya.net, through doll and hoby or some other shopping service. Masamichi isn't doing Volks store trips anymore.

      Twotone, did they mention what dolls were being "removed" from standard release? or is it just "everydoll not mentioned" ?

      I'm curious about the new dolls too I can't wait to see pics of them. :)

    11. The full list of "dolls that will be discontinued" (in both Normal Cast and Beauty White cast) is:

      Discontinued:
      SD Normal Cast: Kira, Sara, Nana, Megu, Nono, Mimi, Rio, Ryo (including New Make-up Versions)

      All option parts (incl. heads, body parts)

      SD13 Normal Cast: Kira, Sara, Nana, Megu, Nono, Sho

      MSD Standard Fairies (? I think this is a typo): Sakura, Maggie, Myu, Ken, Marry, Mario, Mew Sweet

      MSD Standard Fairies: Nasia, Mesha, Sinsia

      Normal Cast: Aika Unoss, Seina Unoss.

      Plus, as mentioned elsewhere, the current FCS system will be discontinued as of Oct. 22nd.

      that's a lot of discontinued stuff! :crushed

      no more unoss at all? a lot of people will be sad about that.

      and as to optional parts, if anyone needs parts for their older standard dolls they're going to have to rush to get them to make sure they have something that matches.

      I wonder if this means though that they are going to update optional parts soon to makeup for the total lack of them after Oct 23rd?

      and then... no more SDRio or SDMimi AT ALL? (or I wonder if they are planning to rerelease them in pureskin later?) it seems odd that they are taking them off the market before they are pureskin-ized, unless they just plan to remove them completely!

    14. I'm hoping that's going to be the case, because Mimi is my favourite girl, and I really planned on getting one. This is kinda sad, losing so many old friends. I'm hoping it's just a swap over to new resin, or updated versions.

    15. Wow... that's ALOT of discontinued. Let's hope all the new dolls and new introductions do well, and they're not sticking their foot in their mouth with this one. I'm sure they're going to have alot of unhappy people, but I'm looking forward to seeing the new dolls -- I don't own any Japanese BJD yet, so it'd be interesting to see if Volks produced something that was a must-have.

    16. Wow, I'm glad I got my Megu when I did. It would be MONTHS before I could have gotten another one.

      How depressing. They are totally redesigning their dolls and themselves, it would seem. While I wholeheartedly approve of progress and change, it just makes one a little sad to see the "standards" go away. :crushed

      I hope these new standards are just as loveable and unique as the old ones were.

      Wow, just think. Anyone who has any of those "soon to be discontinued dolls" now has a collectors item! lol
