Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I got my boy today, and I'm just amazed by how gorgeous he is. I had to get him from Yahoo Japan though, and I am wondering if it's possible for me to send him out to get his eye opened.

      But I can't read it, although I think it's the form you would use to get Volks to open the eye.

      I thought maybe someone here might know more about it. (I'm not even sure it's possible to do it from the US.)

    4. You have to 1) have bought both Cecile the Scarface and his "Cecile's eye" and 2) be a member of Volks' VIP club. So unfortunately, no, it's not possible for you to apply for it as membership of Volks' VIP club requires you to be a resident of Japan. Sorry about that! :sweat

      (I could translate the whole form, but since you can't apply for it I guess there's no point. :sweat It's just basically explaining what they'll do and how to apply.)

    8. The eye opening service was done with the original Cecile the Scarface, too. I don't think they'll open it as wide as his good eye, but I suppose since people go to so much trouble to acquire the dolls that Volks wants to offer the option for people afraid of modding themselves.

    9. I would say that's probubly it. He's a beautiful head, so I guess Volks wants people to be super-happy with him no matter what, and offering the eye opening means people can have a blind-eye Cecile if they want him, scar and all! :)

      brighnasa- congrats on your lovely, lovely boy! I hope to be getting one myself sometime next year... ;)

      I posted pics of Cecile's "perfectly closed eye" & "slightly opened eye" here.

      I can see his Zoukeimura eye when I see his face from very close, but usually I can't see it well :sweat I feel the price for this service is too expensive in person :sweat

I still think it makes a subtle bit of difference, though, so if I ever manage to snag myself one, I may have to find someone to help me get the service done. It's my dream to be able to buy him as a fullset with all his stuff, but alas, I'll probably end up spending over $3000 by then. ;o;

    16. You should be able to get him for less than 2k with all his stuff on Yahoo Japan right now--including rinkya-level fees. I bought mine through Rinkya for less than 2k with the fees and shipping and they're even cheaper now than they were when I bought mine.

    18. @brighnasa: If only I could try to go and get him right now, lol~! I probably won't be able to even try until around this time next year, so that's why I figured that. Plus it may be harder then to get all his stuff, but if there is one thing I can say about Volks collectors, they are for the most part true collectors, so maybe not so hard, eh? I just hope his price doesn't skyrocket. But I'm also the weird one that wouldn't mind having the original Scarface Cecile and Captain Cecile outfits to go along with him. :aheartbea

      @usagi665: Probably. ^_^ <3 Maybe if I do get him, I'll send him somewhere I can get it done like that one, since I do remember seeing one that was absolutely stunning, just barely open enough to see the eye a little more than what the Volks service offers (which is just awesome, IMO.)

    19. well my cecile got arrested~~~~ :(

      aparently the sword was scanned and therefore he's being held, the earliest i can clear him is on monday~~~~ bah he good thing, i got someone working in the firearms department to help, the bad thing.... i think i might juz open him instead of waiting for xmas, and ive him a good lecture about being a naughty pirate~~~~

      LOL ah well 3 days more till i recuse my boi~~~~~
