What are some of your favourite doll boxes?

Jan 20, 2015

    1. I'm not sure if this has been asked before!

I was wondering if anyone had any favourite boxes ^-^
I've seen a gorgeous chest-like box once but I can't remember the company.

My Impldoll Fantasia didn't come in a box at all, instead she came in a carrying case.
My bambicrony Mae came in a pretty box with some pretty holographic-like sparkles ^-^

    2. I like IMPL's carrier bags because of their usefulness. The nicest box I have is the one my Lati Yellow Lea came in, it's got a cute pattern on the outside and a foam insert on the inside to protect the doll, which seems like a pretty good idea.

    3. I've only ever had two boxes (Luts and Mystic Kids) and out of those I prefer the Luts - their boxes are nice and study but also quite pretty ^ - ^

    4. Well, I've quite the collection LOL I do like the carry bags that some give (Impledoll, & some Iplehouse dolls - I got my YID in one). Ringdoll boxes are beautiful :D Mine had a 70cm Kirin inside, is deep lilac/plum w/a textured surface, gold lettering, & a magnetic side closure. It is a very sturdy box.

    5. I think the chest box your talking about is Maskcat Dolls? Thats actually my favourite too! I dont have one yet, though I will be soon with my Ronia on the way. :) They also have a smaller chest-like square box for just head purchases which is also very pretty. Theres some pics here -> http://bjdcollectasy.com/2014/06/16/maskcatdoll-a-review/

    6. YES! That's it! Thanks so much for the info ^-^ They're gorgeous!

    7. I've got a pretty solid collection going here, but most of them follow the usual "rectangular box with lid and pillows" format. That said, I absolutely LOVE the boxes FairyLand uses for their tinies (LTF* and one Puki here). It's always fun to see what color I'll be ending up with, and the "Storybook" look, with its fancy metallic embossing and hinged magnetic lid is cute enough that, if I needed to store them somewhere else, I could easily put them on a shelf without them looking like clutter. I also appreciate the nice foam cutouts, for when I travel. (DollPamm also uses a box this style, but with a clean black outside and one small gold hotstamp of the logo; I likewise really like that one.)

*Only the new LTF boxes count here; I also have one of the original ones, and it's a rectangular box with a lid and a zippered pillow.

    8. I LOVE Fairyland's little storybook boxes...there's so much attention to detail. My Littlefee's box is powder blue with "Littlefee" written in holographic lettering and it's absolutely gorgeous. Other than that, most of the boxes I've got are pretty plain (though I do think the little sleeping bag Doll Chateau includes in their boxes deserves a shoutout too lol)

    9. I've been through a ton of boxes, but so far, I think BlueBlood Doll has been my favorite. The boxes are very thick and sturdy (and heavy!), and are really pretty dark blue or light green. The doll is held in place with dense foam, which seems safer than a pillow and bubblewrap to me. They're so nice! The Iplehouse boxes are almost as nice.

I also really liked the carrying bag that my Spiritdoll came in. It was a little nicer and more structured than my Impldoll bag (which was still nice!)

One of my friends has a Sugarble who came in a wooden chest! I was very impressed by that, though from what I understood, that was a limited time thing.

    10. I love the ones with the pillows! The Pillows are so useful. They can be reused for lots of things. I also like doll boxes that can be folded down for storage and then put back together. Makes it easier to keep the box. :D

    11. By far my favourite has been my DD Hatsune Miku box. I normally throw away boxes but this one I have to keep because of the lovely artwork. Fairyland boxes are beautiful as well :)

    12. I like the ring doll boxes, I also like simplicity of the Sweet Gale boxes.

    13. I have to agree with vicemage Dollpamm boxes are really neat. I don't usually notice the boxes as much but that one I was like... this is pretty cool. Fairyland's are really nice as well, sturdy. I have quite a collection of boxes. I think the coolest presentation was from Leeke World when I got my Mikhalia. It was wrapped in the prettiest paper and bow.

    14. I love all my boxes and wouldn't part with any of them! SpiritDoll uses carrying cases which are great, but have to be stored separately since they can't be stacked. The purple RingDoll boxes are a stand-out, as others have mentioned. But, for some reason, I think my favorites are the old Unidoll and the Sseiren boxes which just look like cardboard boxes, with printed company name and logo. It's something about their basic-ness, a kind of brown-paper-bag aesthetic.

    15. My favorite box so far is my one from April Story. It's a deep, thick-walled box that feels really heavy and substantial, and I love the pearly metallic silver color of it and the white label on the front with the Korean characters written on it in silver. I just think it's a really beautiful box. The fluffy white satin pillows that came in it are nice too. I also think it's cool that the box has this very frosted silver and white wintery look because it kind of matches the doll that came in it... I bought her to be a rendition of Snow White. :)

    16. I love the Mystic Kids boxes. Beautiful, and simple.

    17. My favourites would have to be my Volks Saber Extra and Hatsune Miku boxes. Miku's box has some very pretty art and Saber's box is covered with a beautiful photo of her. <3

    18. I don't know that I could just pick one - there are too many different ways to judge them!

Based on looks, I really like Loongsoul's textured thick blue boxes - I think they're sturdier than almost any other box I've received.

And from an organizational perspective, I like the Volks boxes with the doll's photo on the ends and top, since they make it easy to know whose box is whose when you have more than one of their dolls in the same size.

I also appreciate the companies that use carry bags rather than boxes. The bag from my YID Aaron is awesome and I think it's a shame that Iplehouse switched to boxes in place of those.

    19. I only buy Iplehouse EID dolls the box is not pretty :( but I have seen box opening videos for doll chateau and I liked the artwork at their boxes

    20. I like those nice sturdy carry cases that Iplehouse used to use.

The prettiest box I've had was for a Dragondoll Cheng. It looked like gold brocade with an embossed dragon on the front. I'm also fond of the pink linen DIM boxes.
