What do you call your collection?

The minifees are, well the Minifees, and the Tinies, well, you get the idea. Creative, I know.
Almost all my SDs are part of the Court, which is my storyline for them.

 

Mine are dolls.

Since I usually only have to refer to them collectively to others, I tend to call them "my creepy dolls". People seem to take them better when I acknowledge their innate reaction, "Oh good lord, burn it with fire." Since I say that so much, however, I find myself calling them that to even doll people and myself. No matter how uncreepy they are to me or other BJD folk, they are always "my creepy dolls".

 

I also refer to my dolls as my "weird dolls". I agree with WishingforReality - people tend to react better to them when they see I'm actually aware that most people find them weird and creepy. Some of my friends love them though... some just think I'm utterly insane hahaha!

 

Mine tend to be either "the crew" or "the minions".

 

I refer to them as 'my boys' or my 'creepy dollies'..depending on who i'm discussing them with, i usually say creepy dollies with a laugh and a silly grin

 

I've caught myself using the word "Dollection", when referring to my entire collection (not just the resin), but I figure for resins only I'd probably use "The kids", because they're both young looking 1/6s, and their characters are children. If I got ever got bigger/more mature dolls I'd probably have to find another word, but that's for later worrying.

 

Yah, it depends on who I am talking with. I tend to say "my ball jointed dolls" all out, and then I go into a huge monologue of describing them xD

 

I call them 'crew' when they're all together. When it's just Minifees, they're 'Minifees', but if they're just my anthros, they're my 'animal dolls'. My Pukifee is my sole tiny, so I call her 'the baby doll'.. XD I use these names when I talk to my boyfriend about them, just makes it easier for him to know which ones I'm talking about, lol.

 

since about 95% of my dolls have professional face up's. I call mine, art.

I call mine the Resins usually, or just BJDs.

 

I call my main group, the guild. The rest are my dolls.

 

I call mine my crew.

 

I only have two visitors, so I call them Lord Larr and Bumber.

 

"The resin group" or "the dolls" or "my mini-models" (as in fashion models). Some specific dolls/groups of dolls have nicknames. My mom calls my Lusion her "resin granddaughter", the twins are of course "the twins" and the MSDs are "the Lolita Army"

 

Crew or "the kids" I guess xD; the kids more as in 'the new kids on the block' and less 'my kids' I suppose? but that's mostly to friends, family and other doll collectors that can understand what I'm talking about; to most others they are simply 'my dolls' or 'my BJDs' makes things a lot easier.

 

Mostly, I just call them my Babies. However, I do have this one name in mind.... I'm thinking of somewhat "re-shelling" my MSD Ani, Icarus, into an SD body but.... I can't see my Ani as anything but Icarus... So... I'd end up with two Icarus's or, as I have been calling the idea of them, The Icari.

 

My resin group is "The Meng Horde". A good portion of my dolls are representatives of my Mongolian clan.
