Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. What do you think about the Dollzone Fox Boy?

Jan 3, 2009

    1. I personally think he's ADORABLE :D
I really want to buy one, but I'm still not convinced.
I'm no good at body blushing, and I don't know if anyone on DoA would do a commision for that sort of thing (you know, the whole reddish-orange fox theme).
      So, what do you think?
      Would you buy him? :)

    2. If you get your post count up so you can go on the marketplace others will blush your doll for you and there are some who will give the fox the theme you want.

I have him and he is adorable.

    3. I personally prefer the pipos bao, but the dz fox is very cute ^^

I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find someone to blush him the way you want once you gain access to the MP.

    4. I wanted a DZ fox too and just brought one off e-bay. I'm still waiting for him to show up. I have a thing for anthro BJDs :)

    5. I have him and he's amazing. He stands really well and he's just so cute! Mine arrived with his face painted and I did the hands and feet and a bit more on his ears. I then added the fur. I hope you can get one.

    6. My little fox came the other day :)

Absolutely LOVE him to bits. I was surprised to see he had what looked to be little boy bits. Or atleast that's what's i thought of when i first saw him :)

    7. Personally I don't dig the DZ fox, but to each his own! LOL!

    8. I got the Pipos Bao, but I liked the huge fennec ears. The DZ fox boy is plenty cute, though. It depends on what appeals to YOU.

I'm sure there are customizers out there who could make him a red fox for you. I've seen red fox customizations. (although you do know that wear at joints could be an issue, right? it shouldn't stop you if that's the look you want, though.)

And yes, the DZ fox is a boy with boy bits. Some other anthros aren't made to be one particular sex.

Anyway, I haven't heard anything really BAD about the DZ Foxes. People seem to be happy with them!

    9. I love my DZ Fox Mitsu! But I also would love to re-touch his ears. He has a bit of the red blushing and came that way but the tips of his black ears are rubbing off a bit.

    10. What did you use to color him if you don't mind my asking? Also how can you tell if the dolls have been sealed?

    11. I really adored the DZ fox who was here a short while - he just ultimately did not end up fitting in with all the angels and demons....but as far as being a cute anthro with a lot of personality, he certainly fits the bill!

    12. I can't believe I haven't seen this thread before!! I have a DZ fox -- I call him Mulder (hee, hee). I love him.
I did post of picture of him in the gallery a while back.

    13. Oscar came already painted. I believe he was done with pencils. I enhanced him with acrylic paints. Ask if they have been sealed when you buy them. That's the best way. I wouldn't risk ruining a face up if you don't know.

    14. I really want the little fox boy, I just wish it came as a girl or androgynous. D:
I still might get him and make him a little crossdresser. ;D

    15. I think the pets are addicting to buy now a pain to dress... there just isn't much out there for their size.

    16. It is true that the options are limited but there are some -- I've been told that some Bratz boyz clothes can fit (length of pants might be an issue) and some Ken doll clothes. But what's wrong with your little guy sitting around naked for a while until you find (or make!) that perfect outfit?
There are also some great tutorials in the Workshop section about how to sew jackets and pants etc that give wonderfully illustrated and very straightforward and easy instructions -- you might just want to try making your fox a custom outfit. I know I'm going to give it a try when I get some spare time in a few weeks. I'll post pictures if it works out.

    17. Not my cup o' tea, but they are cute - they're all cute, even if I don't want them! :D

    18. I used to have one. Adorable little thing. I had to get rid of him though. I never played with him, I felt like he didn't fit in with the rest of my kids. It also bothered me the way he looked angry all the time :/

They are SUPER hard to stand. They have round feet >.<
Also they do not pose well at all.

I would say go for it. They aren't very expensive, and are just too adorable! But keep in mind the posing difficulties, and the angry look they seem to have.

Edit: They don't look angry in photos. They are as sweet as could be. But not in person for some reason....

    19. DZ foxes are beautiful. I plan to have several but currently I just have Poe and she is an absolute joy. She is actually sitting beside me as I make her a mask right now. They are difficult to pose yes but they have really mysterious and beautiful faces as well Poe smiles when I take photos of her so that is nice. They are very expressive and beautiful. I have pictures in one of my albums if you want to see.

I think painting her was fun and I cannot wait to paint others. I am sure there are plenty of people who would paint yours wonderfully.

    20. My little fox just arrived last week and I am absolutely enthralled -- IMO pictures, no matter how well done, just don't fully convey how adorable they are up close! Personally, I don't think they look angry or frowny -- I would consider my Ammy-chan's expression regal and a bit imperious, but still sweet. They're a little bit tricky to pose becase they're just so TINY, and don't have as many points of articulation as some other dolls, but mine stands very nicely.

And yes, they do have visible boy bits, but of a baby size and on an otherwise childlike/androgynous body, so they can be crossdressed quite easily if you wanted a girl fox instead -- that's what I'm doing! ;) I've also seen folks here on DoA who have swapped the body with one of the other DZ Pets or sanded down the fox body for girls.
