What do you think of Pet Dolls?

In general? I think the small anthros are cute, but they're not for me. I used to own both a Pet Ari mouse and a fox (They were smaller than YoSDs, at around 12cm... more like Puki, Banji or Pocket Fairy size. A good scale for 1/12 doll-house miniatures and ReMent), but they didn't stick around.

 

I think they're all really cute, haven't seen one I don't like yet. I thought about getting one but how would I choose? I can't afford them all haha

 

They're my absolute favorite. I love so many dolls, but anthros of all sizes have stolen my heart, in particular the ones from Dear Mine Doll. Their dolls are so gorgeous and perfect, and I've never connected with dolls like I have them.

 

i think theyre cool =D im actually loving luts' minimi zuzu delf corni and persi. might buy them when i have the budget =D

 

I'd love to have one,especially a rabbit or a cat. Maybe someday...Every time I think about getting one I see something else I want more.

 

I do plan to pick up a Pet doll of my own. Even though I know it will be much smaller then my SD size dolls.

 

Pet dolls in the strictest sense of the word (non-anthro dolls, specifcally), don't seem to work joint-wise, and any attempt to make them functional makes them not aesthetically pleasing. That's just my opinion on those specific dolls, though. I love anthro dolls, especially Dear Mine. I would love to have a Dear Lover doll in my collection.

 

I've got anthros, but no actual pet dolls--- yet!

At first I could only focus on bigger dolls, but as I have many big dolls by now, the pet dolls are beginning to really appeal to me. I will probably get one some day. I've been very, VERY tempted by several over the past year!

 

I used to not like the idea but the more I see it, the more it makes sense for my doll to have one as a "pet"

 

I have a Hujoo Wawa pet chihuahua - or I should say, he belongs to my bjd! I think he's the cutest thing ever, and they look like they belong together! My bjd has other possessions and stuffed animals, but Wawa is the one who really seems like his pet.

I also love anthros and just ordered my first one from Pipos after much deliberation. It won't go with any of my other dolls (wrong size), but that's OK - I look forward to getting him a companion in the future. I saw that kitty face and fell in love.

 

I adore them. They're cute and I can imagine they would be fun to have with my dolls but unfortunately most of the ones that i've found are tinies and I don't care for the prices of them.

 

I don't really care one way or the other for the pet dolls that are humanoid, like the Hujoo Freya, but when it comes to pet dolls that look like actual pets, I love them I don't own any yet, I have dolls that are on a higher priority list, but eventually I'll get a pet doll or two

 

It depends on what type of "pet doll" we are talking about.

I like the tiny animal anthros like Pipos offers. I have my eye on the Cheshire cat, at least one rabbit, a mouse, a pig, and maybe a puppy. They are cute and they are slightly humanoid so their proportions are pleasing to my eye. For these types of dolls I have a few vendors I like, but I think at least one of them is off topic and I don't know why. But Pipos has to be my favorite and you can find quite a few of the cuties on the forum.

Then there are other pet anthros that look more like four-legged pets. Some of those I find very strange because of the way the legs bend. I spent a lot of time around my cats and if the joints don't bend like they should then it just looks like they have a broken leg. I think I saw some of those around the Hujoo site, but I don't remember because I didn't bookmark that site.

But on the other hand there are the pet dolls that you can find on Aileen Doll. They are more like the four-legged pets, but their legs don't bend strange. I just find those adorable and I hope to have one of their dragons one day. They aren't on topic for the forum, so I am just going to leave a link if you want to look at these dolls.

 

I think a lot of anthros are cute, but I have no desire to own one, except MAYBE the Doll Factory Devil Bobo. I LOVE that little guy!

On the actual pet dolls, I have a DC Faramita, and I'd love to own a Hujoo Dorothy. But for now, I have other priorities. Maybe in the distant future.

 

I'm not generally a big fan of anthros. My hoard has shaped up to be pretty humanoid, and I'm hesitant to throw an humanimal into the mix. That being said- I have an Alice in Wonderland problem and I've had my eye on Pipo's Cheshire cat for a whiiiile now.

 

I kind of see the little anthroish bjd's as little creatures of their own.. like Final Fantasy's Moogles? Or little sprites or something? lol. I don't exactly see them as pets for my dolls...

But I have seen a few bjd that are actual animals. Like Souldoll has made a dog, and a horse at one time. and I have seen a few cats and stuff,.. but nothing too realistic, or well proportioned. I personally wish there were more of those, that had a realistic quality to them, as I would be collecting those for sure!

 

I think they're cute but I don't like them enough to buy one, just enjoy the pics other people post of theirs
if I got a free one with a doll I bought I'd probably keep it though

 

I have a couple of the Hujoo pets (cat and fox) that are the perfect size for my MSD-sized dolls. Also, they are darling!

Haven't gotten an anthro, yet, but the Pipos ones that I have seen in person are really cute.

 

I LOVE the pet dolls and the anthros! I'm still saving up for my first BJD, but when I finally take the plunge, it'll probably end up being an anthro, likely something by Pipos.
