Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. Of being a member of this forum?

      Talking about dolls you have seen here first, fell in love with and just had to have, and do you think if you hadnt been a member here you would have the collection you have now?

      I\'d only been a member here for about 3 days and fell head over heels in love with Leekeworld M Leina, no way would i have seen her anywhere esle or found her on my own, you guys are a baddddd influence lol!

      So who have you got/getting as a direct result of being a member here?

    2. Nothing, yet, for me...but I DO look through a lot of threads here to acquaint myself with the different molds and things. I know that eventually I'll find one I just HAVE to have, that I only found because someone here posted something about it with pictures!

    5. I've always considered some Minoruworld Juniors but jesmoth and Flonne's lovely Leilas were the ones that finally prodded me to press the button. *_* Not sure if it was entirely based on influence as a whole but I'm sure that it had some part on my final decision.

    6. Lu-Wen. The Luts promo pics were nice, but didn't impress me too much cause the mold didn't seem so versatile. But then the first owner pics were posted here - esp. two Lu-Wens in street/skater style .. and I fell in love.

    7. I decided on my first two dolls before I found DoA so it's safe to say I'd have my Bermann and El with or without this forum. I fell for Omicron based on pictures posted on Gigglegeek, that's where I found out about Kill_U as well. Yui I fell for when I saw one on Y!J. Once I became a member here I started using this place for most of my BJD news, so I wouldn't have heard of some of them as quickly without this place.

      And while I liked Williams when Volks released him, I didn't know I needed to bring him home until after I saw the first wave of owner pics here.

      So I can credit DoA for inspiring me to get my Williams. :aheartbea

    8. All of my tinies :) I never would have dreamt of spending so much on a tiny doll when I bought my Elfdoll Kai, all due to this forum. And then Sleeping Elf dolls, again, didn't know they existed until here.. And I have about 99 other dolls on my wishlist :roll:

    9. My DOB Pisce that I'm waiting on now :) I didn't think I would like the size of tinies, but due to the forum I met up with some other doll owners, and fell in love with their tinies :D

    10. Hmm.. I was won over extremely easily. ^^; Pretty much all of mine were because of forum influence except for my dollzone ones, twing-key and hinaichigo. The pictures I saw of the other molds I have was enough to sway me. xD Company pictures can be so unflattering for a doll. Many a time have I seen the owner pictures which I loved, and when I went to look at the official company pictures I has to back away a bit. ^^;

    11. The DoA News forum may alert me to new offerings from a company but it isn't the forum that pushes me into a doll purchase. A doll pretty much grabs me or it doesn't. However, at times I have waited to see owner pics here before making a final decision. Unidoll Jace and Selina are 2 examples that come to mind. Jace was confirmed and Selina was nixed after seeing owner pics. Obviously, dolls with a limited edition or release have required me to purchase right away instead of waiting. Fortunately, I've never purchased a doll where I was unable to bond.

    12. I'm only at #2, but he was a combination of influence from a Y!J auction pic of a customized Eden, and a pic of a DoA member's Eden. The latter was the real kick in the pants, so yeah, direct result of coming here ^^;. Owner pics really do help me make decisions.

    13. While there are a tooooooooooooooon of dolls I want after seeing owner pictures on here, the only one that has really caught my eye was the Volks F-18 (I don't even own one yet, but I'm wishing for one XD) - everyone else I fell in love with on my own and added my own charm :D

    14. Definitely my Sleeping Elf Moona! And then there's my Censya. I fell in love with her on Lati's site because a friend showed me Khan but I would never had gotten her if it hadn't been for the Marketplace where I found her head on an older Lati body.

      Then there's the Resin Soul Ju I just ordered. I would perhaps have gotten her eventually because I would have seen her on the Bobobie site but I ordered her now so I can get the free bag I saw in the thread in News.

      If I end up ordering a Custom House Ange Ai-Uri it will be because of Doa as well. I just looked at Custom House again because I read that they had a 30% discount for 10 days in News. I had looked at their MSDs and decided I didn't want any of them long ago but I never looked at their tinies.

      My DZ Feilian and my twin Bobobie Sprites and my Mini Gem Uyoo Elf I would have gotten no matter what.

    17. Definatly my Harang. While I saw him on the Luts site I was playing back and forth with the idea of getting him. Eventually I decided against it, but after seeing him in person in a dollmeet I found out about here on DoA I decided to get him.

      Same thing for Yder. I didn't like him until I saw owner pictures on this site.

    18. umm..most if not all.....I have bought alot 2nd hand from lots of people on here..and been influenced by owner pics if I am deciding on a doll...

    19. I have several dolls I bought second hand off the forum, so I definitely wouldn't have ended up with them if I hadn't been on DoA. I also tend to look at owner pics if I'm unsure about a sculpt.

    20. Probably all of them..I can't tell if I want a doll from factory pics, I have to see the owner pics, and DoA is fabulous for that. For me the box opening pics are especially tempting;)
