1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

What is better to save the string of my doll, sit on the chair or in the stand?

Oct 23, 2013

    1. I am worried about the strings and now I think it is better to display in the stand?
      What is your expert knowledge?

      Many greetings send
      Sabine

    2. Honestly, I don't think it really matters much, as long as you don't have her bent into a very strange position that puts too much stress on her joints and string.

Over time, ALL string will start to wear out and need to be replaced, no matter if you play every day or if she just stays on a shelf. No elastic can last forever.

If you choose to have her stand, be sure you have a good, strong stand so she can't fall and get broken. I feel more comfortable with my dolls sitting, since I worry more about them falling.

    3. Thanks so much CloakedSchemer, good ideas, so I let her sitting on her cozy chair.
It is my first BJD and want to wait a while before restring her.
      Hugs Sabine

    4. Standing so that you don't develop kinks in the elastic when sitting. :)

    5. Thanks so much chienism, an important tip.
