What is your favourite hybrid and why?

    1. hey guys,

      I found a lot of pictures on flickr people made hybrid dolls. So i asked myself - what would be my favourite hybrid. I am not quite sure up to now if an Iplehouse lady looks good on a Fairyland Feeple65 body for example

      So please tell me: what are your favourite hybrid dolls and why

    2. I love and hope to own one day a Doll Chateau Kid - 01 body with a DIM Larina head. I think they go so well together. I must have them! :)

    3. I have several hybrid dolls. One is an Angelregion with Dollmore hands, one is Ndoll with Soom hooves, and I have a Minifee and Dollzone boy too. I have to say the hoof baby is about my favorite cause I love the NDoll elf ears with the hooves. Angelregion hands are hideous so I love that hybrid too even if its not as noticeable. I do love Migiboll hybrids the most tho. I'm trying to decide what to do with my Miho head to make him 65cm instead of 60cm.

    4. I have two hybrids- a Migidoll on a Domuya Flexi-body (with Dollmore hands and feet), and a Leekeworld head on a Dollzone body. The Migi/Domuya hybrid only works because the hands are the only part of the body not covered by clothes. Neck is too short, for one. I really want to mod it, but I lack the skill. -.- So the Leeke/Dollzone hybrid would have to be my favorite~! His posing is way better than the default Leeke bodies and the resin match is nearly perfect. ♥

    5. I currently have three hybrids, and one on the way. A Volks Kurt head on a DollZone boys body, a Camellia Dynasty Abracadabra also on a DollZone body, and a GomiDoll Iru on the Camellia Dynasty body left behind when I moved the head to the DZ body. Done because the characters heights were all wrong. The character that is represented by my CD/DZ boy is supposed to be the tallest in the band, but the CD body is the shortest. Where as my Iru is the shortest by in the band so it made sense to put him on the short body. As for my Volks/DZ boy I bought him that way. The resin match is good and he looks more like a boy than the Frog Prince but that is fine since his character is that of a dragon cursed into a boy anyway. I can not pick a favorite. Though I have a feeling when he arrives the Abio Angel Yi on the DiM body I am waiting for will be my favored hybrid.

    6. I'm a huge fan of hybrids involving fantasy parts from different Soom dolls. I hope to one day own a Soom IO with Monzo talons and claw hands of some sort (perhaps Euclase), for example. I'd also love a male Amber with Nephelin talons and Breccia's claw hands.

      I'm also quite impressed by Soom-head/Feeple-body hybrids, but unfortunately I don't think the Feeple bodies can fit Soom fantasy parts, which means I'll probably never buy one.

    7. I'm very partial to Volks/Dollstown hybrids. I love the way Dollstown bodies are sculpted and my favorite heads will always be Volks. The resin match is pretty good as well, so perfect combo for me!

    8. hih i would be great if more companies sold heads seperately or you find more on ebay or the marketplace. I got Tedros. He is awesome but his body is a bit strange. Not good to pose. I wish I had another body for him. He looks good but does not pose very well. And he is very heavy. As I got my parcel from the post office- oh my god :D

    9. I have a lot of hybrids, I love to mix and match parts -- but by far my favorite is my Dollmore WS Kara Klum head on a Doll Chateau Y-03 body. There is nothing I don't love about it! :aheartbea

    10. I love making hybrids! I have 5 of them and I'm building a 6th. So far my favorites have to be my Granado/Akagi doll hybrid (which was a perfect resin match), and my Miracle Doll/Dollzone hybrid.

    11. Ha, Silk, this is my favorite combo too, but in reverse! My favorite doll is a Dollstown head on a Volks body.

      I own a few hybrids at this point and have a few more planned. One of my more interesting ones for sure will be a Jungatoy D.Skull on a Doll Chateau Y-03 body - that awesomely creepy one with the extra joints. I think she'll be smashing. ;)

    12. Currently the only hybrid I have right now is a FairyLand pukipuki fur seal face plate/headback on a Doll Zone animal body. The result is super cute!

    13. thanks for the pics. Does anybody have a hybrid on a mirodoll body? thought about it to order a head i found on ebay and put it on a mirodoll body. i found some pics on flickr but those pics can't tell me anything about how they pose

    14. If you're looking for specific hybrids I would do a search in the Photo Ref threads. Actually I think there's a thread for all hybrids there too. Also check out the discussion threads for the parts you're looking to use. I know the Mirodoll discussion groups are all about hybrids, there's a lot of them out there.

    15. I have several hybrids but my absolute favorite is Kier, my Iplehouse Mars on Spiritdoll Elegance boy body. The scale and neck size is perfect, IMO, and the color is pretty good too.

    16. I don't know much about hybrids, but I found a picture of an Unoa/DC hybrid which was just gorgeous. I don't really like DC that much since, to be honest, some of the bodies kind of scare me a little... But this one was just... YES! I want one of my own, she'd be my "broken girl" (eating disorder and such). Don't know why but I want a "broken" but still happy doll, and she'd be perfect for it!

    17. In general, I also don't know much about hybrids, but any realistic head sculpt with a Mirodoll 1/3 small bust lady body would probably do it for me. I absolutely adore that particular Mirodoll body sculpt, but the heads they have… haha, nope on that for me. I don't own any hybrids myself yet, but I have a feeling that if I ever do own one, it'll have a Mirodoll body.

    20. I'm not much for hybrids for myself, but my favourite hybrid of all time has to be a DIM Larina head on a Doll Chateau Kid body. It's just so cute & elegant! I also like Unoa heads on DC Kid bodies. I guess I'm just a sucker for that aesthetic.
