What is your grail doll?

I think my grail doll isn't very 'expensive' per-say due to SWITCH only selling the head, but mine isn't even produced anymore so I have no chance to get him unless it's second hand (Which is fine by me, not so fine with my mom xD) My grail doll happens to be a SWITCH Hahwa, whose just an absolute beauty in my mind.

 

My grail doll is Volks Lieselotte. She's veeeery expensive and can of course only be aquired second hand. I hope to be able to get a Lieselotte one time in the future as I love her even more now than when I saw her for the first time and fell really hard. As much as I love to look at pictures of her, I also become a little sad because I don't have my own Lieselotte.

 

I have two! One is Soom Ender, and I own him (as a hybrid), the other is BlueBlood Phoenix. Cost is not an issue, it's a matter of finding him, and considering just how rare he is and that he's been discontinued for 5 years, I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that it's not ever going to happen.

I also have two favorite dolls, AoD Gu and DZ Mo-B/Doll Leaves hybrid. But I don't consider them grail because I just bought them outright, they aren't something I waited months or years to save for or search for.

 

Very interesting question indeed! I honestly don't think I've found my Holy Grail of sculpts yet. There are so many that I truly like & would love to own, but none so far that would make me say, "I am finished, I have the one!" That said, I hope I don't sound ungrateful for the dolls in my life. They are special to me or I wouldn't have worked so hard to own them.

 

I have a few... a Tanning Dark Elf Soo Delf.. I missed out on her in the MP a few years back and have been kicking myself.
Also, an Ipplehouse Luna Tamer Fullset. I need me a big cat girl, and so far she is my favorite.

 

I consider DoT Ducan to be my grail doll, even though he is readily available and isn't a bajillion dollars on the second hand market. He's the first sculpt I ever fell head over heels for, and I continue to lust after him even now! I've got about half the money saved that I need to buy him and clothes/wigs/eyes for him. Soon my precious, soon...

Doll Leaves Ethan in Wheat Skin is a close second. I was broke when that one came out, and I haven't seen hide nor hair of him on the marketplace. Should one ever turn up...I will pounce on that like a starving lion on a zebra. He might become my next "grail doll" after I get my grubby hands on my Ducan, lol.

 

I have a few but I guess my main one is a default VOLKS YoSD Megu original 2008 release, not sure I'll ever find one (especially one that isn't going to cost $1k+) but I can always dream

 

I own mine and am very thankful for it. She's a Soom Galena/Beryl hybrid in normal skin. I always loved Galena's head and Beryl's hooved body but did not care for them in white. I resigned myself to never being able to get exactly what I want plus have the parts match until Soom did a Free Choice MD Female event last year. I was able to bring my beloved home. She is the one I never thought I'd get and I adore her forever.

 

I have 2 grail dolls. I own one.

the owned one is DZ Anson. The one i'm eyeing is Granado Charles. i'm in love with their body sculpt and his face (minus the painted teeth... I already confirmed with the company I can request no painted teeth... for some reason teeth just make me go :/). The only reason I don't order him is because I'm still learning to sew. . . and for some reason I want Charles to have a western theme and i have no idea how I clothe him.

I don't mind Anson running around in the buff :3

 

I can't say that I have a grail doll as yet. I haven't found a sculpt that I wanted that badly. I have had a few where I said "OMG! Must have!" But none I would consider to be grail..I'd say the closest I have to this concept is VE Chloe, she's a stunning girl and I wish I'd been in the hobby when she was available but I'm not going to go into a flutter if she shows up on the MP.

Grail clothes however are a different story... Chloe Amethyst outfit, Vampire Woosoo dark lady, every dollheart fer, F65 Chloe outfit

 

I have two of my grails on the way, a MNF Woosoo Vampire Elf and to a lesser degree, a Delf Claus in brown skin.

I fell extremely hard for Claus when first I saw him and I knew I had to have him.. >.< But, the sculpt is so new that not too many people have him yet. Doesn't matter to me, though. He's by far one of the most beautiful dolls I've ever seen.

One of my main grails that I'll probably never get is a Luts Dreaming El. I'm not to the point where I'd spaz and all of that if I did find one for sale but I've always really liked the sculpt.

My others which are more attainable are a Crobi Yeon-ho B type or a Luts SDF Avalanche/Howl. Of course, they are out of my price range so I won't be getting either any time soon but I'm cool with it. x3

 

Volks Shinku, always and forever I am stubborn though and will only buy her from Volks directly, so I will be waiting a long time haha

 

I have my two Grail Dolls; MNF Miyu and Rheia. They are perfect for my characters; and I'd never ever sell them!
Though; I still want to expand my collection! I just have no more characters to do anymore.

I have two grail dolls. The first is a CP LUTS Soony in white skin. I fell in love with Soony years and years ago when I first discovered bjd but didn't have the means or the money to buy one. By the time I was able to buy dolls CP had broken away from LUTS and they were no longer being made.

My second grail doll is the limited edition Hui Ka by HZ Doll. I love everything by HZ Doll. Heise was one of the first artists I followed n Deviant art all those many years ago. I remember when she was just sewing clothes for her LUTS dolls. I also am a HUGE HUGE history buff with a focus on Ancient Egypt. Those two things combined put the LE Hui Ka at the top of my WANT NOW list but I can't see myself being able to afford it anytime soon and they're limited to ten dolls world wide so it's very unlikely I'll ever get him.

 

I'm not sure if I have a grail doll or not....I really really really want a Volks Michele, and have for years, but I'm not sure he's a "grail" exactly. He's not a doll I would sell my others for, or go into debt for or anything, and up until recently, I didn't want to bother with paying the price for one. So I want him a lot, but grail? I'm not so sure.

I think the reason I never really had a "grail" exactly is because my DREAM doll was acquired the second it was released, and I'm still happy with him four years later. Not much else can compare to that.

 

My grail doll is Soom Olivine, and she's quite hard to find. I was falling in love with her very-very slowly, and at the time she was still available on the site, I wasn't so sure I really liked her. But then one day I realised I had to have her - but alas, they were no longer making her!
Since then I've been trying to find Olivine on the marketplace, and almost succeeded 3 (!) times, but still no Olivine ))) Well, I hope one day I'll find the one that's right for me

 

I can't tell thw difference between grail dolls, dolls I've wanted for a long time, dolls I'm currently obsessing over, or dolls I used to obsess over and took a long time to get over. A year ago I would have said the Hu Die Mung Bermann. Right now I'd say a pukipuki army (defeats the purpose),Soom's bird children, a Narae/Narin combo, Elfdoll Soah, or a Dollmore Alex. I'm almost thinking Alex is my grail, because I'd get him to be THE one, but I would like to have the option of having other dolls after him, too. Who knows? Maybe I already have my grail doll. I got the Luts 08man to replace the Bermann, after all, and an Elfdoll Wu to replace the Narin, and it worked really well. The pukis are priceless, though. Such cuties.

 

For me it's YoSD Suzuna, who I'm trying really hard right now to get. When she and Rengemaru were first released I thought they were kind of funny looking, plus I was still in high school so I couldn't have afforded one anyway. But the sculpt has grown on me over the years, and I think she's just the cutest thing on the planet. I haven't seen a YoSD released since that I've thought was as cute as that first Volks one (except for the rerelease of Suzu and Renge lol). I have tinies that I love from other companies, but I love Volks very much because I bought my first dolls from them, and she's the only Volks tiny for me!

 

i actually got one of my grail dolls which is dod homme ducan. my 2nd one is luts hdf cookie, i think i might get him next time as im very broke now bec of two dollie arrivals
