1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. What projects do you have planned?

Mar 15, 2025

    1. I love hearing about fun projects people are passionate about. Whether it’s doll plans, an outfit you’re sewing or putting together, something you’re sculpting, a photoshoot- tell me all about it!

I’m currently in the process of making my Minotaur doll. I’ve had my favorite bulk head sculpture from Minoan age Greece 3D printed and I’ll be modding it to fit my dollshe body. I’m also having a realistic cow head printed, so I have options! The sculpture head will be painted and gold leafed. I’ll also be making him a miniature Ancient Greek lyre that matches my own!
I’m also waiting for a good time to buy a Supia body and when I locate a head sculpt I like, I’m completing the partner for my doll, Roiben. She’ll be dyed green, and I get to make her wings! But that’s a little further down the line :)

    2. A leopard print princess style outfit for Minifee lol

    3. That sounds so cool!! Like really, please post some pictures when it's done:DLove the idea of gold-leafing the head, and the lyre!
For me, I'm preparing for my doll to arrive- I'm almost done with a dress form in his measures, and then it's time to sew his robe! It's going to be inspired by those "rich widow" robes, so sheer with some fluff on the edges^_^ While I wait, I'm also looking at wig-making tutorials. I've done some yarn wigs before, but never a real one!

    4. I have a few on the go, all for my first doll. (I'm not very good at finishing one project at a time, haha.) I've been sewing her some pajamas, knitting her a cardigan, working on a wig, and I got a little desk organizer from the dollar store that I want to refinish into a dresser for her. Gotta have a place to put all the clothes she's getting!

    5. That sounds really neat! How are you doing the wig? I've always made headcaps using the head as a mold, so I have no clue how to do it without having the doll first>_<

    6. I'd like to get my druid's Staff O' Doom made (shillelagh is the best cantrip and i will hear no argument otherwise), I'm just not quite sure how to go about it. Resin casting for the gem to resemble amber, likely, but whether i want to find a perfect stick or make one is up for debate.

Also have some thrifted dollhouse furniture I'd like to repaint, right now it's all weird mismatched colors. maybe black with some gold embellishments?

    7. I don’t have much work space where I live currently, but I’m working on hand sewing a dress for one of my dolls! I have all the fabric, embellishments etc. but I’m still working out the pattern on some other plain cloth.

    8. I actually have a bit of a spreadsheet that I use to organize my projects. Currently, I only have three doll projects going on:

      1. Finish my pukifee's bedroom diorama. I've got the room itself built and painted, just need to paint the furniture and add the clutter décor.

      2. Upon arrival, do face-ups on my last two Resinsoul "Elemental" dolls. I have two already that are Water and Earth themed and I ordered two more (blank) for Air and Fire so they'll need to be worked on when they get home :3nodding:

      3. Getting things set for my D&D character. With FL re-releasing their Karsh, I'm finally able to get one and make my beloved character! I've already picked out who I want to do his face-up, his wig is in progress, but I have to wait to get the body before I can get his clothes commissioned (it's a complicated outfit... :sweat). He means a lot to me so I want to make sure he's just right.

    9. I’ll be sure to!! I’m very excited. I’m going to make some period accurate Mycenaean clothing as well. The lyre I have is a luthieros lyre of Aphrodite- I’m super excited to have a matching one with him!
i had one bull head printed already but it ended up a bit too large- it’s the “bull’s head rhyton” from the palace of Knossos- there’s a website that provides a 3D model from the actual sculpture. I’ll be getting it reprinted this week in a smaller size, in addition to my cow head! Very very excited.

I LOVE those widow robes- that’s going to be so beautiful! And good luck with your wig making excursion! I’ve never been great at it myself, but it’s still super rewarding even when they didn’t turn out perfect!

    10. That's exactly how I'm doing mine, haha - she's currently sitting on my desk in a protective cocoon so I don't accidentally get any glue on her. I don't have any experience making sewn doll wigs myself, but I know there are tutorials out there!

    11. I've been working on a rhinestone night life/club outfit for two years that I desperately want to finish. The stoning is all done, the outfit is put together but it needs some finishing. I'm not sure if I need to stone the chain on it - 2mm rhinestones on tiny chain or if there's some easier way to make it work. But the stall out on this being completed is UGH

@Milkteeth17 - my wife has a Sei-Tenshi whose faceup and wing painting is inspired by Minoan art. She doesn't have a proper Minoan outfit sine she's tiny, but she does hold a snake in each hand!

    12. I'm in the process of making a 1760s robe a la francaise ensemble. Not just the dress, but underwear, accessories, shoes and wig in a period-ish hairstyle. I've finished the underwear, and am now working on the outer petticoat and fluffy trims.

    13. OMG If you have any pictures, PLEASE send them my way!! Minoan and Mycenaean Crete are part of my biggest special interests! I was just talking to my partner about Minoan makeup recently. That’s so neat!!

    14. Mi ne are all "ongoing" because I'm the king of the UFO when it comes to projects.

I have a "Victroian Family" of ten SD sized girls (and five boys) who are waiting for me to finish their gingam dresses (each one in their signature colour)

... and likewise their Victorian bathing costumes (again, each in their signature colour)

      Then there are numerous others...

    15. Oh wow, nice! That's really cool, I've always admired period accurate clothing, but it seems too complicated to me>_< can't wait to see the results if you post them:)

@Teddy I like the colour coordination! How did you decide who has which colour? Also the sleeves on that first dress are beautiful<3

    16. I have a lot! The biggest one coming up is making a moth girl with a Bobobie body, artist 3D printed off topic head, and dyeing them both blue. I've also got a lot of sewing lined up for my current dolls, including learning to get better at making formal jackets.

    17. Cool! I'm working on and English gown (for an OT doll). The smock and stays are made, the under petticoat just nees its waist tapes, the gown itself is about half made, an dthe petticoat to go with it is just a pile of fabric at the moment.

      Thanks!

As to the colours - each doll has tended to gravitate toward certain colours as I' ve got to know them and their charcter has developed and those colours have become the signature ones that most of their outfits tend to fall into. Nettle (in the bathing costume picture), for example tends to lean toward pinks, but I'm not fond of pink so I steer her towards more lilac./lavendar/mauve shades instead, Some of them are harder to pin to a specific colour. Cressida gravitates toward white or pale coloured fabri cs with tiny pastel floral prints, rather than a particular colour, but she's hapy enough wiht the pale/light blue's Iassigned her back when there were only seven gilrs and they mostly conformed to the seven colours of the rainbow... The latest three girls to join the family put paid to that but beige, black and teal happened to be their colours so that worked out OK.

    18. I'm currently in the middle of a 1/3 victorian-inspired couch project (that I've been posting about elsewhere on the forum), and I'm also planning on starting a 1/3 scale arcade cabinet based on this human-scale blueprint.
There's also a bunch of DD clothes I started sewing and still have to finish, including a sailor-style dress and two different jirai blouses, but who knows when I'll get to those :sweat

That sounds like it's gonna be absolutely gorgeous, are you planning on posting it when it's done?

    20. So many cool projects!

I'm starting a new character doll, making G'raha Tia from the video game Final Fantasy XIV. I don't have much done, so my to-do list is quite long. Outfit, staff, tail, and faceup still to do!
