What's your fave part abt the BJD hobby?

Jul 29, 2015

    1. I love the community and the dolls because you get to customise them, what about u guys?

    2. My favorite part about the BJD Hobby is, how creative everyone in the community is. There are people who are awesome photographers, there are people who do awesome face-ups, make beautiful and cute, and casual clothes for their dolls, some artists like I saw in the "Draw the doll above you" thread and the fact that there are some really good and funny photostories that just brighten up peoples' day when they read them. ^^

    3. My favorite part about the hobby is that it is another way to let people express themselves. They might not be confident enough to wear the clothes they want or look exactly the way they want, but you can have a cute dollie to be whatever you want them to be! It's just so easy to be creative in this hobby!

    4. All the different creative projects everybody has going on fascinate me!

    5. My favorite part of the hobby is finding the right clothing and accessories to make a doll look the way I want. It's really smile worthy when it all comes together. :)

    6. My favorite part: the dolls and making lists of my current "needs" for them and becoming a bit obsessive. The creative aspect is up there too. Creating stories and personalities, names for them.

    7. All the teeny tiny yet realistic props and clothes and shoes! It amazes me how much detail goes into these things, and the ideas people have to create things. It seems like for most any every day object I use, there's one available in doll scale, and that's just awesome.

    8. I love the clothing and the props. I love that it's like dressing a model and that the dolls look so awesome.

    9. My favorite parts are the people I've met, the awesome clothes and props. And of course I love, love, love my doll. :aheartbea I have loved Elves since I was a kid and my doll is the closest I'll get to a real one, lol!

    10. I love my dolls and making things for them. I love to walk into my studio and just look at them. My son asked me if I move them a lot because every time he walks past them they're in a different position. I guess I do! I love the creativity I see and am amazed by so much diverse talent and original point of views in the bjd community.

    11. Definitely the customization aspect. It's amazing how one sculpt can look so different depending on the faceup, wig or clothing style. I often find myself getting inspired by what other people have done with their dolls.

    12. Pretty much how creative the hobby is. Basically everything is customisable about your doll and it's just so much fun picking out clothes and creating personalities/backstories for them...

    13. The painting, the modding, the sculpting...
Also writing for them, drawing for them, envisioning whole worlds for them. :D
It utilizes all the creative outlets and purposes!

    14. Just having such a customizable piece of art.

    15. I enjoy reading about how others integrate their dolls into daily life. Some dolls get their clothes changed every day, get carried around in backpacks, and post stories along with photos. It is all so much fun!

    16. LOL! the ego-boo I get from taking my dolls to meets and having people ask, "Did you MAKE that doll's outfit?!"

    17. For me are sewing clothes and taking photos! I'm not very skillful but still enjoy to do! :D

    18. The creativity and all this energy everybody works with and the bond you develope with the dolls and their characters.

    19. I like that each doll is unique. Even if its the same doll wearing the same outfit and everything, because its all done by hand they won't be identical. I find that super cool. Also I feel like part of the owner shines through within the doll, so its sort of a form of art and expression. It's very nice. It's also like having tiny friends :)

    20. Honestly, my favorite part of the whole thing is having my crew of dolls. Just having them in my house for me to enjoy is the best part.

I get great satisfaction out of seeing my big group all together, then focusing on individuals and being pleased with each one of them. Sure I like the general creativity, I like other people dolls and all that, but as long as I have my crew, nothing else really matters so much. :sweat
