1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where can one get their hands on Patterns for tinies?

Jun 5, 2009

    1. I've seen a few links but I was wondering if anyone knew a particular book or store that sells tiny patterns. Better yet how do you scale down a pattern to fit lets say a.....puki, Wht Lati? I am so new so sorry for bombarding you guys with so many newbie questions. Any info is appreciated!

    2. Hi Sarkitty......I feel your cry :lol:I have struggled myself with patterns/ideas for my tinies. I think I have finally acheived the flow of creative juices though. I started out by picking up a couple of "Kelly" outfits for cheap on Ebay then taking them apart and using the pieces for patterns. The"Kelly" outfits fit Puki's great other then adding a bit of length to the skirts and pants........Whalaw ;)Ebay has LOTS of different styles to choose from too.

    3. cool I'll definitely check ebay...thanks for the reply Mustangsally!

    4. This is such a great idea! I've been looking for patterns for my MinoruWorld Junior(as their size makes it hard enough to find clothing), but it's been unreasonably difficult to find. I'll try this though! Even though I have to up-size it to fit her ;)

    5. You can get patterns for Kelly dolls on ebay and probably elsewhere. They don't fit quite right -- all the Kelly patterns I have are too loose in the bodice for even the Kelly doll, but you can adjust the pattern a little to improve the fit.
The MinoruWorld dolls are about the same chest, waist and hip measurements as some vinyl dolls, such as Helen Kish's Bethany or Tonner's 10" Ann Estelle. There are lots of patterns for these dolls on ebay, and all you would really need to do is add length for arms and legs. Oh, and again, tweak the pattern for fit. I'm never satisfied with the original fit and always have to improve on it.

    6. Thanks guys!!

    7. This website has an entire wardrobe for a Dawn sized doll-about the same size as tinybear's Moona. The best part is that it has all the pattern pieces you need to create what you want. I printed them regular size and then used paper towels to practice with until I got a pattern that fit my Coco. Then I copied my pattern to poster board so I had a more permanent pattern.

    9. Perhaps you are thinking of LeeAnn by Denis Bastien of Affordable Designs?

    10. thats the one sweetie !

    11. I have several patterns I made for the 10" Ann Estelle doll years ago, and they work for several of the tinies..Lati green, CH Petite Ai, Leeke, Yo, Little Fee, etc with a bit of adjusting for some (mainly length of skirts, sleeves and pant legs).
If anyone wants copies, just pm me your email addy.

    12. There is a pattern for a 4.5" Kishlet doll that fits my Lati Sp White Belle perfectly on Ebay. It would probably fit Pukis pretty well also.

    13. Hmmm a lot to think about and search for. I have nothing but time. Thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate your input!
