1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Where I can learn to make up dolls?

Feb 16, 2014

    1. I really want to learn how to make up dolls? Are there any school in the UK? Please give any advises!

    2. YouTube is my master:lol: Search for 'faceup stories' by Andreja of Nicolle's dreams. It's the clearest tutorial I've every found.

    3. Seconded, she is amazing!

    4. I like no-paint pastel faceups. I remember learning how to do them from a tutorial on youtube, but I can't find the link ... just do some searching, I'm positive there are loads of similar vids. It's pretty easy if you don't set your expectations too high. I still consider myself a beginner and I'd highly recommend starting with a no-paint technique because it's harder to mess up ;) If paint gets away from you it makes one heck of a mess - if pastel goes somewhere you don't want it, you can get it off with an eraser before sealing. It's very beginner friendly.
      Good luck!

    5. If you go to meet up's and make friends Im sure there will be help there also :)

    6. I agree with every tip stated earlier here, and add on one more; practice. No one can make you magically better at something, you have to practice. If you are not satisfied with your work you can always wipe the head clean and start over! :)
