1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Generally, I like my doll has "black hair", maybe because I also have black hair and most of them are Japanese. :D But I also like silver/white color hair which looks elegant and mysterious...

      So my questions are...

Which color of hair do you want your doll have?

Which type and style? (long, short, straight, spiky, etc...)?

    2. I love white hair and I also love funky colors. I just got a wig for my resin soul ju, and it's a brown with streaks of green, teal and blue. It's so pretty that I almost want to do it to my hair. :) I don't even have her yet, but at least when she arrives she's gonna get some awesome hair. :)

    3. Well the doll I'm working on now is supposed to have shoulder length wavy and layered brown hair. I've been finding it very difficult to find a really nice looking wavy haired wig for a boy. For this doll I might have to go with a fur type wig instead of heat resistant which I prefer.

    4. The vast majority of my BJDs have brown or brownish hair. I have a few dark blondes, and just two or three each of pale blonde, black or red hair. And one grey and one purple! Plus some undecideds (new dolls with no characters yet).

I like my boys to have short hair, with a few exceptions. Most of my dolls have straight hair.

    5. I like quite a vibrant blue for some reason, but I love dolls with blonde/white hair no matter what the wig is styled like. :)

    6. My crew almost all have hair colors on the more "natural" end of the scale... most having black, white, silver or some shade of blond, brown or red. I do have two with indigo blue hair and one who occasionally wears dark purple wigs (Kaedae, Yeru and Teacup; resin avatars of Exalted tabletop RPG characters), but for the most part I don't stray far into Technocolor territory.

The styles vary wildly. I have everything from impossibly fluffy skin-mohair curls to straight, knee-length center-parts and all kinds of variations in-between... Microbraids, short and spikey, whispy layers, waffle curls, short bobs, Hime bangs, you name it.

    7. I'm really interested in white/pink toned silver hair, but for the most part, I like natural warm browns and blondes

    8. I try to keep my dolls as unique from each other as possible, so currently we don't have any repeats in colour or style planned, but I have to say I'm very partial to straight black hair. It tends to look good on most dolls. After that I tend to gravitate toward curly red hair (my own hair is a natural red but very straight...) I'll pick whatever is right for the character, though, because as long as the overall picture is nice, the colour itself doesn't really matter to me.

    9. I have wigs in many styles and colors, but I'm generally most likely to grab one in some shade of red. I've just always loved red hair. Curly or straight doesn't matter, but I do like the mohair wigs for their wispiness.

    10. If we're talking normal hair I'm keen on redheads and raven haired dolls but I also like my hair colors wild and mixed up, as in rainbow gradients. Usually my dolls have wigs that have at least 2 colors, sometimes three.

    11. galatia9 : Wow! Marjorie is so pretty with her brownish curly hair! :aheartbea 5 from 9 dolls of mine have black hair and mostly straight.

    12. Most of my dolls have natural colours of brown, black and red with red's being my favourite. I do buy/have blonde shades to leave on my dolls for long periods of time.

    13. My girl will have wigs in colors that span the rainbow. Her character isn't really the 'natural hair color' type. My guy, on the other hand, will have wigs in pure white and in brown.

    14. I don't know why I would want to have all my dolls in the same or similar color. I've got plenty of dolls, and each has a hair color suited to their (existing) character. I've got white, silver, red, auburn, dark blonde, light blonde, brown and black so far, as well as one made of black and white feathers. That really covers most natural ranges, and there's plenty more to add as I go.

    15. I love natural red colors for doll hair. Though all my characters are human and I try to find a nice color for each of them.

    16. I like natural colors but I tend to buy multicolored wigs and the natural color wigs aren't typically styled so I guess I see my boys as eclectic as they are partially or full daemons or spirits.

    17. Most of my dolls have black wigs...I guess because we have dark hair.. But I love vivid red and white too.

    18. Thanks! All the boys are in love with her, she's such an angel.

I sort of take my cues from anime when it comes to hair color. Lots of the Japanese characters have brown, blonde or brightly colored hair (with little or no explanation for same), so I've never felt I HAD to stick with black or dark brown hair and dark brown eyes just because some of my characters are Japanese.

    19. Natural colours in red tones, oh and with bangs.

    20. I voted 'others' because I like my dolls to be varied, and so the more different colours the better! At the moment, almost all my dolls have unique hair colours, except for three (who are all in Brown Carrot wigs from Leeke). However, my collection definitely leans towards brunettes - I have nine wigs that I would consider 'brown' (although many are very red-brown and one is green-brown), two white wigs, one blonde, one pink, two black(ish) and one blue. I have plans for three more blondes, one more white, two more blacks, a true red, two greys, and one more brown at the moment, with a few undecided colours to get.

I'm also a big fan of long, straight hair, but I try to vary styles as well. I have roughly half long haired dolls and half short-haired dolls. I don't have any dolls with curly hair, though, just because I find synthetic curls too difficult to maintain. I try to make up for it by getting 'textured' wigs (with layers, or with waves) instead of sticking to just straight-haired wigs.
