1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Who would you like your doll to look like?

Jun 28, 2014

    1. If this should be somewhere else, please do move it.

But who in the world, when it pertains to real people, would you like in doll form?
      Your hero, your muse?
      And I don't mean a sculpting service.
Who's face would you have modded, sculpted, and painted on to an original sculpt?
For me, it's the great Amy Winehouse.
If ever there were a sculpt who had the nose,
I'd delve in and get the sculpt modded to the extreme...

    2. Dita Von Teese...I've always admired her inside out^^ and a doll that looks like her and dresses like her would be wonderful in my book but I lack the time and mold to create her.

    3. I actually don't have a real-world person I would like to own a sculpt of, as everyone I want to shell is fictional including my muse. ;-;

    4. I have too many: Daniel Johns, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Justin Bieber, Austin Mahone, Demi Lovato......this list could go on and on.....

    5. Several people. Well characters. But they are also real people.

Dr. Who (11th Doctor David Tennant!! Imagine this - a full set, with his outfit and maybe even a TARDIS!!)

      Fox Mulder and Dana Scully

      Several Star Trek characters!!

I know there are action figures but bjd would be so much better!!!

    6. Peter Dinklage, Zachary Quinto, Hugh Laurie, Benedict Cumberbatch, David Tennant. Oddly enough I'm not usually a fan of male BJDs but I would gladly accept any of those guys into my collection of dolls:fangirl:

    7. If you're willing to have a sculpt "modded, sculpted, and painted onto an original sculpt" why not use a sculpting service? I am confused by this question.

    8. I am sorry. I am still a bit of a newbie. What is a sculpting service?

I guess its just a place to dream and get some ideas. [emoji4] And maybe someone one exists and others know where to find it. *hint hint Zuzu Self Lip Griffin* [emoji4]

    9. Some companies accept commissions to sculpt heads to your preference, though this can understandably be quite pricey. That's why I don't know why someone would go through the trouble of altering a company's original sculpt if one could just commission exactly what was wanted to begin with. I suppose it could be more economical if there is an existing sculpt that's close enough, but many times I would think there wouldn't be.

    10. I don't think I'd want a doll modeled after an actual person. Characters I wouldn't mind, like I could have 10th Doctor but Tiny David Tennant would be weird.

    11. i really want an amy winehouse one... does anyone know a good sculpt for her?

    12. I must confess ; nobody

My husband is a collector too. He have many statue of super heros and some hot toys.
hot toys are really like super heros actor and it's really not my taste
      I'm not a «fan» star person ... I perfer when it's unreal character

    13. I really want a dollified version of my favorite Japanese actress, Aoi Yu.
She's youthful, pure, and gosh I just love her sense of fashion.
The closest doll sculpt I found that looks like her is Merry Doll Round, but it's hard to find BJDs with asian features that also bear Yu's essence.

    14. Eddie Redmayne for sure! He had the sweetest facial expression in Les Mis and freckles to die for

    15. I prefer to have sculpts that don't look like anyone in particular and have fantasy characteristics since I enjoy making my own characters for them. There are a few people who I think have faces that would look good as a BJD, but none that I would personally buy.

    16. I'm actually hoping to model my doll Greenie off of Katniss Everdeen, but it's been very hard finding a sculpt for her. Before having the idea for Greenie, I never liked seeing dolls modelled after people, but now I think they're pretty, although I still distance myself from them.

    17. I have quite a few dolls and they all have vastly different looks but I must admit as far as the guy dolls go I seem to be very attracted to dolls that look a lot like Jonathan Firth. He's a big crush of mine for years and so far I've got two male dolls that look like they could be related to him. Neither one of them is a dead on clone of the man but both of them definitely have some of his facial characteristics. There's this one dollmore fashion BJD that I've totally been wanting because again he looks somewhat like him. Looks particularly like him as Soren in the Prince and Me sequels in particular. Those movies are admittedly a bit dumb but that majordomo character as played by Firth I admittedly totally lust after him. I guess I really like dolls that look like him too. Firth just looks so good to me in glasses and a dark suit and apparently any doll that looks like him that can wear a good suit also looks lovely to me..laugh...I'm having a hard time not getting Essex actually....
