Provenance:

Purchased the head from Kiyakotari who had purchased the entire doll directly from Fairyland. Purchased the complete Kalix directly from Dream of Doll on 9/18/2008.

Reason for choice:

My friend was selling this head and he was the perfect more mature version of the Gomi Doll Sleepy Igon I owned already.

Best Points:

The Fairyland head plate system is secure even though the magnet is missing.
The Dream of Doll resin is amazingly color stable and the body stands like a rock.
The Dream of Idol hand sculpt is really lovely, the double jointed elbows function well without being sharp or ugly, and I like the body's silhouette.

Worst Points:

The Fairyland white resin yellows very quickly.
The Dream of Idol body has a pointless torso joint with no mobility, unlike the Dream of Teen body which I replaced with this one. Wrist mobility could be better too.

He has developed a fondness for RPGs, submarines, sailing, astronomy, antique arms & armor, and Parisian cuisine.
