Adamantine, Ada for short, is a young man that's been on his own for a long time. He came out of social services and moved from cheap apartment to cheap apartment for while, before he received a letter. The letter explained that the sender was family of his.

His real, true family.

Ada had been raised to believe they were long dead he was alone in the world. The letter came with a ticket and key. If he chose to take the flight, he could go home, find his family. Home to- to a brother- to a- a father. If he chose to stay with the woman he'd been living with, he could continue on his own, pretend he'd never read the letter.

Ada packed his bags that night.
