Beautiful body sculpt, resin colour and adorable face

Best Points:

The body sculpt is possibly my favourite out of all of my dolls. It's so elegant and unique and poses so well.

Worst Points:

I wish there was a resin tone somewhere between copper oriental and pale tan, but a little image editing does the trick.

He wears a necklace with a glass vial that contains the ashes of his father's last note to him. I purchased something from NightMarketBJD on Etsy that's almost exactly what I imagined.

Name story:

His first name is just a fantasy spelling of "Alden," and his last name is Sindarin (the elven language from The Lord of the Rings) - "Idhren" means "wise or learned" and the "dir" suffix refers to a young man.

Aldyn was born to an elven father and human mother. His mother died when he was born. A few years before his birth, an incident involving his father's magic, which he is unwilling to talk about, ended in his father leaving his clan behind and living with humans. After Aldyn's mother died, his father remarried a few years later, and Aldyn has a half brother and half sister. He calls his stepmother "mother" as she is the only one he's ever known. Aldyn's father committed suicide when he was fourteen, depressed and fearful of losing his second wife before dying himself. Aldyn's stepmother is sickly and is looked after by her children. Aldyn makes money for his family by stealing, but doesn't let the others know.

Aldyn is transgender and began living as a boy at age eleven. His family moved shortly afterwards once he attracted the attention of local bullies. He is generally accepted as male and keeps the fact that he is trans to himself unless he gets to know someone quite well and trusts them. His voice is on the androgynous side, and he binds his chest.

He's missing his left hand at the wrist, chopped off by a vengeful former associate who was angry that Aldyn took the earnings from his last job when he left the thieves' guild he worked for. It has been replaced by a well-made metal prosthetic, which he has learned to control with magic and is also equipped to shoot darts.

Aldyn was originally created as a D&D character but I'm currently only using him for roleplaying purposes, not in a campaign.
