Secrets: Underneath her reserved, composed exterior, Ame has severe abandonment issues. She is is terrified of being abandoned, left behind and/or rejected. She will never admit this, though this insecurity shows in her relation with her nearest and dearests, such as her adoptive sister Astin and her handmade yarndoll Mon Petit.


- Ame is the soul of a pet cat who was hit and killed by a truck while crossing the street to escape Emelie's home after experiencing neglect and loneliness at the hands of her increasingly absent owner.

- Her soul is sealed in one of Emilie's most cherished dolls, one which she held feelings of jealousy and resentment towards for receiving Emelie's attention and love. If her doll body is broken or harmed beyond repair, Ame's soul disappears. Because her body is made of resin and is extremely fragile, she takes great care with exposure to sunlight and physical activity at all times, avoiding sunlight as much as possible and moving in light, delicate steps.

- She has taken in a stray soul named Astin in as an adoptive sister and is very protective of her. This gives her a sense of purpose and fulfills her desire to feel wanted and needed, the feelings she was denied when alive.

- Her soul was brought back to the mortal world by sheer will through the former reaping angel Vilis. Her soul cannot fully move on until she makes peace with the grudges and strong feelings of resentment she nurtured towards her owner through the course of her mortal life.
