Reason for choice:

I really wanted my first doll to be a 60cm and I just fell in love with Howl's sweet, pensive features.

Best Points:

I love how tight his limbs are, so for a SD size he poses really well. He fits just comfortably in the crook of my arm when I am chilling watching TV. He has a very pensive look to his features, as if he is always deep in private thought. I love his almond shaped eyes and giving him the light pink eye colour really opened his expression up a lot.

Worst Points:

I am now a bigger fan of dolls with a bit more realistic colouring to them, so have since taken more of a liking to dolls with more realistic fleshtone, so I wish he was not so pale but other than that he really is perfect!

Everything about Ansel is LUTS made except for many of his outfits, which I have acquired through doll clothing artists. I got him made with a Luts face up and Luts body blushing. His eyes and wigs are all from the Luts site as well. ^_^

Meet Ansel. He is Arden's (my other SD Luts doll) twin brother.

Ansel and Arden are not your typical middle aged pair. They have lived for hundreds of years! The forest close to the village where they grew up was forbidden by the village folk, who said it was a forest full of dark evil and unexplainable magic. When Ansel was very small, he ventured into the forest and a very worried Arden chased after him. She found him struggling in a large body of water deep within the forest, and barely managed to jump in and save him from drowning. Little did the pair know, the small lake was an enchanted pool of water that would gradually stop their aging altogether! Once it became known that the twins were not aging a day past their youthful visage, they were cast out of the village and had to fend for themselves. Because of this, the twins are inseparable and very protective of one another.

Many hundreds of years have passed since then, and the immortal twins have become very successful and financially stable in the modern age. They have a large estate that houses the enchanted lake, and have made themselves the protectors of the lake so no one else can use its mystical powers for evil. They run many successful businesses, but have to remain in the shadows of their success because of their immortality. They rarely ever leave their expansive estate, and rely mostly on one another for company.

Ansel has since become the more responsible of the two of them. He runs most of the financial burden side of their affairs, and secretly has always blamed himself for what happened to the two of them when they were little. Many days he views their immortality as a curse and not a gift. He is very smart, but very withdrawn and easily gets moody or too serious about eveyday, mundane things.
