Reason for choice:

I wanted an anime-style doll in a small size, but I didn't want her to be too child-like.

Best Points:

Pouty expression, torso joint, big round eyes, body shape, hand sculpt & finger positioning

Worst Points:

Magnetic wings are a bit floppy, strung a bit tight.

Archyael is my first doll. I ordered her through Denver Doll Emporium and waited around 6 or 7 months for her to finally arrive.

I ordered custom resin eyes from my friend Moriya through twitter (@moriya1127).
Eventually, I plan to do some body blushing on her and maybe paint her nails a subtle color. I'd like to try and make a halo for her, eventually, as well.

Archyael has blue hair and glittering starry eyes. She usually wears lolita fashion (because I wear lolita fashion in real life and I wanted her to match). Her usual outfit is a pink & ivory dress & bonnet set that I got from LUTS-- her long hair looks very pretty with it.

Name story:

It took me forever to pick a name for this doll-- originally, I had been planning to give her a classical virtue name, but once she arrived I started looking at biblical angel names as well as Hebrew names (I have Jewish heritage, so it was appealing to me). I eventually came to Archyael by mashing the word Archangel with the Hebrew name Yael.

Archyael is the Pillar of Forgiveness-- she holds faith in the kindness of everyone, and believes that anybody can change for the better if they are willing to try.

She doesn't really involve herself in human affairs, but she is very curious and enjoys quietly watching people. She does not speak or make any sound when she moves, but she has the ability to make people understand the things she wants to communicate simply by looking into their eyes-- not by sharing her thoughts, exactly, it's more of an instantaneous comprehension. Humans do not notice the difference between this form of communication and speaking most of the time, but will sometimes notice later on after an interaction with her that they can't remember her saying anything aloud during their conversation. If she does talk to people, it is usually because she wants to help give somebody the nudge they might need to take steps to become better people.

Around humans, she usually goes by the name Yael. She does not experience feelings the same way humans do, and is not very outwardly expressive. She doesn't eat or sleep. People never feel the need to be hostile towards her-- it's physically impossible for them to.
