Reason for choice:

I fell in love with Verna's sweet expression, and she just seemed different from all of Luts' other Senior Delf models. I loved her face-up exactly as it was and just thought she was a beautiful doll that would easily adapt to any look I wanted to give her.

Best Points:

Arden poses very well and her joints are all very tight. I love the blush colour given around her eyes that give her a life-like appearance many of the older dolls do not have (especially from Luts)

Worst Points:

She has a very small, and narrow head for a Luts SD size! Wigs easily slip off her head even with the added aid of a wig cap, and I find it a nuisance...especially if I want to take her out to doll meets and her wig keeps sliding off her head.

Arden is an SD Luts doll. She has a Type 2 body with normal skin and full body blushing.

Her face-up is a Luts default make. Her wigs (so far) are all from Luts, but many of her outfits have come from doll artists who have handmade them.

My favourite outfit for her is a vintage white knee-length dress by Sadol!

Meet Arden. She is Ansel's (my other SD Luts doll) twin sister.

Ansel and Arden are not your typical middle aged pair. They have lived for hundreds of years! The forest close to the village where they grew up was forbidden by the village folk, who said it was a forest full of dark evil and unexplainable magic. When Ansel was very small, he ventured into the forest and a very worried Arden chased after him. She found him struggling in a large body of water deep within the forest, and barely managed to jump in and save him from drowning. Little did the pair know, the small lake was an enchanted pool of water that would gradually stop their aging altogether! Once it became known that the twins were not aging a day past their youthful visage, they were cast out of the village and had to fend for themselves. Because of this, the twins are inseparable and very protective of one another.

Many hundreds of years have passed since then, and the immortal twins have become very successful and financially stable in the modern age. They have a large estate that houses the enchanted lake, and have made themselves the protectors of the lake so no one else can use its mystical powers for evil. They run many successful businesses, but have to remain in the shadows of their success because of their immortality. They rarely ever leave their expansive estate, and rely mostly on one another for company.

Arden is the one most affected by their age. Often she lets time slip away on her and wanders in her own little world through the forests on their estate until Ansel wanders out of his office to find her. She enjoys surrounding herself with nature and doesn't mind getting dirty in a garden or hiking through uncharted territory. She's very carefree and light-hearted, very opposite her brother who is serious and stoic about most things. Arden does not like to deal with the family business and leaves all the business stuff for Ansel. Many days while she gets ready to go and get lost amongst the trees and tend to her gardens, Ansel is donning a suit and getting ready to sit down at his desk with his laptop to make sure everything is running smoothly. They could not be more opposite but regardless really love one another.
