As soon as I saw her face I knew she had the personality I wanted. I like how she looks so serious but also has a very slight smirk.

I prefer to make all of my doll clothes (except shoes, which I have tried and failed miserably at), so as of now Arina's wardrobe is not terribly expansive.

Name story:

Arina was born to Ivan Lukyanovich and Elizabeth Ruth Bailey in Volgograd, Russia. Many Russian last names are simply the name of the father with different endings tacked on depending on the gender of the child, hence Ivanovna is Arina's last name. Her mother found it silly that she would take her husband's name but not her own, so they gave her the middle name Elizabeth. Arina is a Russian name which means "peace."

Arina comes across as very serious to most people, but she also has a bit of a rye and mischievous side that comes out when she is on her own or with people she knows very well. She is currently studying biology and takes great interest in her work. Eventually, she would like to work as a researcher, preferably studying the migratory patterns of birds and their connection to pollution. Her father used to take her bird watching when she was younger, which is what first sparked this interest. When she was 16, she rescued an abandoned calandra lark and named him Toby. Although she is interested in animals, she isn't one to take particular interest in pets, but Toby is is the exception. Arina is highly intelligent within her chosen field, but is not particularly knowledgeable of matters outside of her interest. Those who do not know her well commonly find her singular focus off-putting, but her friends realize that she can be quite charming once they get her to shut up about birds.
