History: Silent, brooding and quick to anger, Artorius is a man of few friends. He joined the military when he was old enough to be commissioned and has worked his way through the ranks. Eventually, his skill and valor earned him a promotion to the legendary Elite Guard, where he now serves as second-in-command. to General Gnaeus Ferlae.

Profoundly secretive about his life outside the Elite, all that is known is that he was married at one time with two young children. Both his wife and children were killed violently while he was fighting a battle half a world away. Draeis spent a substantial amount of time after that trying to join them in the afterlife.

He almost got his wish during the battle of Sondir, which secured the crown for Silas Incanto. Artorius received a near-decapitating wound.

He was killed instantly. The gods, however, were not yet finished with him. Resurrected by Leora Incanto, high priestess of the Elarian war god, Artorius regained consciousness on the battlefield to find his fatal wound almost completely headed. Only a vicious scar remains that crosses his neck. It has been rumored to seep blood when he angers.

Those he commands now call him "Ara’Tanaeis," God-Touched, and regard him with both respect and fear. They whisper that he has been granted immortality.
Artorius considers himself anything but blessed.
