Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     Athene was the first Asian Ball-jointed doll I got! She arrived at my place (after being customized by a friend) on 14 March 2007. I had seen a lot of BJDs previously, but none of them spoke to me like Athene did. When I saw her, I had to have her. Almost two years after I saw her mold, I sold my entire My Little Pony collection to be able to buy from Alewife here on DOA.

    Born to a noble family, Athene was expected to be everything a good daughter should be: obedient, hard-working, agreeable, and married as soon as her first woman's cycle to a wealthy lord. Her mother died shortly after childbirth and her father went into a deep depression, dying of a broken heart some years later. Her uncle continued her education in both what a woman learns and what a man learns, making Athene a very competent, self-assured teenager who longed for something more than marriage and household duties.

    On her 18th birthday, Athene left her uncle in charge of the estate, and readied to leave in search of adventure. She didn't know where she was going, but she knew she had to leave. And so Athene became a vagabond princess, adding travelers to her group as she goes.
