    Provenance:
Head: Ordered from IOS through DollSquare. Body: Bought from the DOA Marketplace.
    Reason for choice:
Tauros is an incredibly interesting head to me, as I've always loved animal bones and taxidermy and own several animal skulls myself. Once I'd ordered the head and started thinking about a character for it, this concept came to mind. A gorgeous female body and a skeletal head, to celebrate the circle (or spiral) of life and all that is a part of it. And if we're talking gorgeous female bodies, Iplehouse is definitely the company I look to.
    Best Points:
Both the head and the body are extremely, awesomely detailed.
    Worst Points:
The body has some posing issues, particularly its thighs which like to be in a position I do not want them to be in. The thigh joint is a mixed blessing. And the resin hooks on the feet lead to breakage, at least they did for me. Though that was easily solved by fixing the hook with cyanoacrylate and putting a metal S-hook in between the resin hook and the elastic to relieve some tension. Also, while the neck sizes are compatible, the EID neck has a flat top unlike IOS necks, and will need some modding to make for a nicer fit.

Aum is meant to be displayed mostly in the nude. She wears a moleskin loincloth and will possibly get some jewelry, but the focus is on her sculpt.
  • Name story:
She is the beginning and the end and the re-beginning of all things. In a Facebook conversation with a friend, I decided on Aum, a Buddhist (and Hindu) syllable/word signifying the whole of creation, the first and the last and all in between. It seemed fitting, not in the least because I associate the sound 'Aum' with the names small children of many language backgrounds call their mother, and she is effectively the all-mother.
