Name story:

Azazel (A, Az for short)
- in Jewish legends, a demon or evil spirit to whom, in the ancient rite of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), a scapegoat was sent bearing the sins of the Jewish people. Two male goats were chosen for the ritual, one designated by lots “for the Lord,” the other “for Azazel” (Leviticus 16:8). The ritual was carried out by the high priest in the Second Temple and is described in the Mishna. After the high priest symbolically transferred all the sins of the Jewish people to the scapegoat, the goat destined “for Azazel” was driven into the wilderness and cast over a precipice to its death. Azazel was the personification of uncleanness and in later rabbinic writings was sometimes described as a fallen angel. (source: Britannica)

The name has been in my mind and multiple signs kept on dragging me to use it.

Everything has meaning. I feel like I have to do this ritualistic thing to put soul and personality onto my dolls. Dolls are empty shells and whatever I put into them is what makes them alive thus I am quite careful on who I choose as my inspiration. Their essence also radiates towards my dolls and I don't want negative, or evil energy inside them. Yes, I believe in those kinds of things.

Her looks and striking image is inspired by Anatuaria, Ana hence a name that starts with A. She is my friend who I immediately think of when it comes to beauty and power. She's kind, brave and went through a lot but came back stronger.

Another connection I made is the goat . She was the vocalist of the band Blackgoat so now you see what I did there . GOAAAATSSSSS.

Red is the chosen color too because I personally think red is the color of power, fire and strength. And Red really suits my inspiration ❤️
