Reason for choice:

The head has been a grail of mine for a long time, so when I saw it secondhand, I snatched it up. The body was also one I had admired for a long time, so when I realized it would go well with the head and that Denver Doll had one in stock, I purchased it. The hands were ones I had around already.

Best Points:

(Body) Posing is versatile, and the sculpting is elegant.

Worst Points:

(Body) When it arrived, it was strung so tightly it chipped the first time I tried to pose the hands. I had to restring it to prevent further damages, and now it's more on the loose side.

Betula is the Latin name for the birch tree family. Her character is a dryad who I plan to paint in a birch bark pattern over her entire body.

Betula is a dryad associated with birch trees. Although she is able to speak in human speech, she is unused to it and finds it irritating, preferring to communicate in sign language when she can. She considers herself a protector of trees, and this extends to other spirits and creatures associated with plants. She eats by absorbing nutrients through her feet, so she avoids walking on surfaces that don't taste right to her.
