Because Bran is a raven that was turned into a human, I wanted an appropriate name. Bran is Welsh for "raven". I'm so original.

Bran is a jackdaw raven that was transformed into a human by the witch, Freya, who had taken a liking to the bird and decided she wanted to keep him. He's a little simple, for a raven, and very naiive about human social norms, but he has a good heart...when it isn't being corrupted by Freya.
