Reason for choice:

It was one of the last Little Rebel heads I didn't already own, so when I saw it pop up for sale, I jumped on it! The body was a random purchase to try with various floating heads.

It is a beautiful sculpt, basically looks like an older sibling of LR Andre :)

This doll body had a chipped bottom section in the upper right arm part that, while it didn't stop the arm from "working", it was a nightmare to pose. The lower arm basically kept getting stuck in the chipped out section. I decided that it wasn't worth wrestling with, but I didn't want to throw out a perfectly useable body otherwise, so I gave my boy an elbow disarticulation amputation.

I screwed an eye hook into a wooden bead, covered it in model magic air dry clay, then painted/colored it to approximate his skin tone. I also sanded down the chipped area on the arm (previous attempts to epoxy it back to normal hadn't taken, and there was epoxy residue and sharp edges remaining). I tightened the arm elastic, then put the hand hook onto the elastic at the elbow joint and hooked it onto the eye hook in the bead. I'm very pleased with the results!

Cal is an active 20-something college student who lost his right arm at the elbow in an accident as a teenager. He's had years to adapt and is comfortable in his skin. He has a prosthetic but only wears that when two "hands" are absolutely necessary. The majority of the time he wears various arm sleeves to protect his skin and give some extra "flair." He's a quiet type, often looking like he's brooding -- in reality, he's probably just thinking about how cute his current crush's butt is, or how to achieve that skateboard trick he's been working on. He works as a counselor for a year-round sleepaway camp called "New Horizons".
