  • Face-up artist(s):
    Dear Mine
    Date of acquisition:
    Oct. 21, 2020
    Provenance:
    MacaronTea on DoA, who kept her in the most beautiful possible condition all these years <3
    Reason for choice:
    I had always wanted a Priscilla from the time I first laid eyes on one. Her sculpt is so sweet and beautiful, and Dear Mine's designs are so gorgeously reminiscent of the aesthetic of The Cat Returns, which was among my favorite movies growing up. The combination of wispy anthro cats and French rococo adornments is something of the divines.

    I was very fortunate to find this Blue Rose Priscilla fullset secondhand on DoA, in insanely pristine condition! I'd wanted that particular set for a long time, but didn't think I'd ever find it. She also shipped just a few cities away from mine, which was a plus because I didn't think I could bear Dear Mine's wait times combined with the postal issues as of late. I got incredibly lucky, to say the least!
    Best Points:
    Literally everything. Her fullset clothes are so detailed, down to the delicate eyelet lace and tiny gold butterfly in her headdress. Love the innovative ear and tail magnets, too, they stay on and I'm not nearly as paranoid of losing them as I thought. I also like how her calves are pointy like a cat's, super creative design choices.
    She's a beautiful poser and somehow manages to stand even with her precarious little heels on.
    It can be surmised, but her image may or may not have a PicsArt filter on top of it. I'm barely a photographer and it helped me compensate for my inability to do her justice. Plus, SPARKLES!
  • Eyes:
    Dear Mine
    Wig:
    Dear Mine
    Favourite colours:
    Peacock and navy blues, cotton candy pink, peachy rose-gold
    Fashion style(s):
    Regal yet dainty rococo, with the slightest lolita liberties of our own century. She manifests The Cat Returns in every facet.
  • Name story:
    My childhood cat was named Carlos; he was the smartest creature I ever knew, and certainly free-spirited enough to live up to his name. Carlotta is the feminine equivalent, right down to its meaning, and shared by the primadonna in Phantom of the Opera. She carries both namesakes as an operatic feline!

    Damrau is the surname of one of my favorite opera singers, and also vaguely sounds like "meow" if you mispronounce it, so what I'm trying to say is you have every right to roast me.
