Sweet and polite and with a keen intellect, Cait nevertheless loves dark gothic literature and old folk histories. She has a courtier's manners, but in the presence of a trusted few, her wit and pointed sense of humour occasionally bubble to the surface. Cait has the mind of a future Oxford scholar, fascinated by all aspects of learning and relentless in her pursuit of the gnarled roots of knowledge.
Cait, like so many fey born in the twentieth century, is only half Sidhe. Her mother, Siwan, died when she was seven, so she was passed into the hands of her uncle, Llewelyn. She loves her uncle with an adoration that borders on hero worship. It was Llew who first encouraged her inquiring mind and he has taught her the basis of nearly everything she knows. Even so, Cait has often longed for the company of people her own age. She keeps her loneliness to herself however, for fear of upsetting Llew, who has lost so much already.
