Provenance:

Purchased from DOA user Radiotrash, who was I believe the third owner. Came in Tinatsu box with official Volks papers, default wig and eyes. Does have the Volks headplate as well.

Reason for choice:

I knew I wanted a Kuuta the moment I first saw the sculpt pictures on Volks' site. I was conflicted because I ONLY did minies but it was the perfect face and I've never looked back. I looked for Kuuta and jumped on the first Tinatsu I found since it's the same sculpt.

Best Points:

I like the weight and feel of the doll. It poses nicely, stands solidly, and is still easy to play with even if the stringing is loose.

Worst Points:

Lack of double jointing means slightly limited posing.

This doll has gone through several different characters. When I decided that he would be the son of my self!doll Robbie, I went with the name Christopher Owen. I have several name lists that I pick and choose from when I name stall for a character.

Christopher Owen has two Daddies was originally an idea I had for a series of children's books showing a little boy interacting with his two fathers doing normal family activities, because there is not enough literature out there in that vein. Similarly, Simon Oliver has two Mommies was meant to be the opposite gender version.

Christopher Owen is Robbie's son and part of an incredibly complex and intertwined story that links several of my dolls and future dolls. According to established story, he was the result of an unplanned pregnancy that the mother chose to keep secret. She ran off when she realized she was pregnant and had her sister drop the baby off at Robbie's with his birth certificate and no explanation. It was a huge surprise to Robbie, but he is trying to cope as a single father, and eventually settles down with a partner with whom he raises his son.
