Reason for choice:

As with the other Machinas (machinae?), it was partially nostalgia. I can remember seeing Batchix's Alpha being released, and it reminds me of my early days in the hobby. Also for Cin in particular I happened to be listening to Katzenjammer's "Tea with Cinnamon" while reading the Gamma page about how he liked to serve tea, and a character immediately blossomed in my mind.

Cin is one of the two middle children of my Machina family, the other being his twin brother Sugar. He and his siblings run a tea house/bar of which he is the host. Cin is extremely charismatic and flirty, and can charm just about anyone and anything. His public specialties are mixed drinks and town gossip (usually in that order). He comes off as flakey at times, but he is extremely loyal and caring. He tends to encourage the flakey image so that people underestimate him, and then uses this to his advantage.

Like his siblings, Cin has additional talents behind the scenes. Despite not begin the eldest, he is the acting head of the family and a master strategist. His internal workings were specialized for intellect and planning, including military maneuvers. He has some physical combat training as well, but it's his ability to organize and manage people (or armies as the case may be).
